If youre on windows and are having trouble using the mouse on Bluetooth (pointer skipping frames, unresponsive, etc.) do this: 1. Open the device manager 2. Expand Bluetooth 3. Right click your Bluetooth controller (in my case it was Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)) and click Properties 4. Click the last tab called Power Management 5. Un-tick the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power Thats it. The mouse will work perfectly. It will still turn off after awhile but thats normal and needed for battery purposes.

I purchase this mouse to be used for my MS Surface Pro Tablet. However, I am impressed with it.It is bigger than I thought and very comfortable to hold. It did take some time to get used to the blue touch area on the left site. I replaced the default press action with "open Cortana" using the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard center, which is a separate download, but needed if you want to change any of the default actions on the mouse. The mouse paired very easily and quick on my Windows 10 machine. I opened settings, then Devices, then Bluetooth. The mouse was visible there and I clicked on Pair. The mouse paired pretty quickly. I will be ordering another one real soon.

This is a fantastic mouse for the money, and would recommend for anyone that needs a high value bluetooth mouse. I have had no issues paring this mouse with my Chromebooks, Windows 7 laptop, iMac or MacBook. Once the mouse has been paired, the connection was solid and did not have any issues. Since I have not had and used this mouse for more than a couple days, I cannot speak to the battery life, however I am sure that the mouse will last a long time (using two AAA batteries). One feature that works surprisingly well on this mouse is the DPI button (the one below the scroll wheel). I have it dialed into the "slowest" setting and it works great for me. You can really crank this mouse up where even the slightest movement will send the cursor flying across the display, however I find having the slower cursor works better for me. If you want a rocket fast cursor, this mouse will provide that experience for you. When I first felt the forward and backward buttons on the side of the mouse, I was surprised as to how "soft" they felt. Compared to the TeckNet BM306 and the Logitech M705 Marathon (non-bluetooth), the side buttons have a longer travel and end with a softer click than the short and firm responsiveness found on the other two mice. This does not bother me, and in fact has kind of grown on me a little bit. The right, left, and scroll wheel (middle button) have great feel and a clearly defined response once the any of the buttons have been fully depressed. The scroll wheel works great and displays the responsiveness you would expect in any mouse. No complaints here. Feel free to take a look at the photos of the unboxing, the mouse itself, and some comparison shots between some other popular mice.

My first thoughts of this mouse: - It fits perfectly in my hand - All the buttons are easily reachable, but not easily accidentally pushed - I feel like I can use this mouse for a long time without feeling fatigued Things to know: - It requires 2 AAA batteries - You will need to have a device that supports Bluetooth (pretty much all electronic devices have Bluetooth now) Setting it up: - Insert 2 AAA batteries - Make sure the switch near the battery door is set to ON - Double check to make sure Bluetooth is switched ON on the device you are going to use it on - Hold down the button located near the switch (on the underside of the mouse) for a few seconds - The low battery indicator should blink - On your device, check the Bluetooth dropdown menu for the TeckNet mouse, and click on it - The mouse should pair now - if not, start back from the beginning and verify that you did not miss a step Notes: - The mouse goes to sleep automatically after a few minutes so save battery, so there is no need to switch the mouse OFF if you walk away from it - Upon returning to a mouse that went to sleep, simply click once, and it will automatically wake back up without hesitation - I personally have no complains for this mouse whatsoever, it feels like a very quality mouse - It glides very nicely and effortlessly, and tracks just as nicely - The button below the scroll wheel adjusts the DPI (dots per inch - which controls how quickly the cursor moves compared to how far you move it) (higher DPI = moves faster; lower DPI = moves slower) - I believe there are 5 DPI settings that it cycles through - The 2 buttons located on the left side will vary based on which operating system you use. For my Mac, they do not seem to function. For Chrome OS, the lower button will go back a page, the upper button goes forward a page (in an internet browser) - I do not own a Windows computer, but I imagine it would function the same as Chrome OS

This is an early review, in use just one day. I have had two of the previous model: they used a single AA cell. This one uses 2 AAA cells. Bluetooth pairing to an HP laptop went quickly with no problems. The fit in the hand seems identical to the older one and the buttons seems to be exactly where they were before, needing no time for me to get used to it. I like this mouse better than other Bluetooth ones I have used, better fit to my hand (I am right-handed, think it would be a bad choice for left-hand use.) It works smoothly and has forward/back browser buttons. The scroll wheel works well with slight indents as it is moved, nothing to inhibit motion, just enough to let you know it is turning. It does not seem overly sensitive to the surface being used as a mouse pad. One of my previous ones began to have erratic Bluetooth performance, but it was dropped from a 30 inch height onto carpet many times, more than a dozen, hardly a flaw of the mouse. A second one of the previous model is going strong after a year and a half, has been on a lot of travel and never dropped. If this newer model lasts as long as the previous one, I will be very happy to continue giving it a 5-star rating.

This mouse would be incredible except for one fatal flaw- the scroll wheel. Instead of scrolling smoothly, somewhere around the full rotation point of the wheel, the scroll will either page up or page down (depending on which direction you are scrolling). It is infuriating. First I tried to live with it. Then I reached out to the seller to see if mine was defective or if this was somehow a feature of the device. They didnt directly answer the question (language barrier?) but sent me a replacement. Great! Unfortunately the replacement behaves just like the original, so it seems that its baked into the design. Whats crazy is that the page will jump down, so then you give the angered exhale, and then slowly scroll back up to get to your spot, and right when you get there, youre at a full rotation of the wheel and it jumps up a page. And then you throw the mouse out the window. Its a shame it does this because the mouse is perfect otherwise. Great feel in your hand, good Bluetooth connectivity, everything else. So if your into unexpected page jumps, then this mouse is for you.

**UPDATE** ***BUYER BEWARE*** Today I downloaded the recommended drivers from the Tecknet web site. After installing, the only thing that worked on my mouse or touchpad was cursor movement. Computer was unusable. Clicks were disabled. Reboot was pointless because the drivers are configured with autorun. Your computer is now a brick. The only way I fixed this was to go to the task manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) Surprisingly the clicks did work. I disabled the service and went to "startup" and disabled the startup of the auto run mouse drivers. I am tech savy but if you dont feel like messing with this and spending lots of money and time with a PC repair tech, look for another manufacturer. I like plug and play... This is plug and pray... and a prayer wont help. This is a flawed product from start to finish.... Hardware AND software. I am really sorry I recommended this to anyone. And I did buy 4 of these devices. I am past my window of return so unless TECKNET WILL REFUND ALL OF MY MONEY, These will go where they all belong. In the trashcan....All 4 of them. I will remove this scathing review if I am OFFERED A REFUND for all 4 units. ***HERE IS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW*** Ive tested this mouse for many hours and weeks. Heres the truth. I bought 4 of these around December 2018. They ALL behave the same. I bought one for Dell XPS13, one for Surface Go, and one for a Samsung Tablet. One blue, one red, one grey and an extra grey one for backup because I "thought" there were a nice mouse... Time told the truth. First: Battery life is advertised as 24 month. This is a blatantly false claim. The above advertised copy says: "...up to 24 months on just 2 AAA battery! There is a handy indicator light to let you know when it is almost time to change the battery" blah blah blah. The truth is, this indicator starts to blink after 9-10 days (4 out of 4 devices). I am lucky to get 2 weeks out of each mouse before battery starts to cause mouse to "skip" around the screen and move the pointer as if a "ghost" were controlling the pointer, not me. Again, each device exhibits this characteristic. And for the record, I use Duracell Alkaline AAA batteries from Costco. I use batteries from the same batch/package for other things. I dont use off-brand batteries. Second: It feels cheap. At first I discounted this because the mouse worked well, but now after using these devices (every one) for almost 3 months, I certainly would not recommend this to anyone. If you want an inexpensive mouse (this one, any color) be prepared to buy a large pack of batteries from Costco or somewhere else. Had I known this in advance I would have gone with a Logitech mouse or other better quality mouse. I wont be sending these back because I am out of the return window. Its disappointing that it took a 3 month "burn in" on my part to truly get familiar with these devices. What really angers me is that companies make false claims that make suckers out of consumers. Take my experience, take my advice... Keep on looking for a name brand. Amazon is a mine field where you can really get nailed. READ THE REVIEWS. Make an educated choice. You get what you pay for.

I wanted to like this mouse, and I tried to use it, but... Upon trying it out for the first time, the batteries would not make a connection, as one of the positive terminals was too recessed. I tried to pull the connections out to make it work, but couldnt do it, so I ended up just using some tin foil to make the connection. Not great for a new product. I will use it as is and see how the rest of the features work and amend my review when I have tested it further. UPDATE review - Mouse works well, until it loses connection, BT connection may go back and forth, or may drop connection altogether. I tried to put new batteries in it, Eneloop aaas and just saw smoke coming out of the mouse! WTF!

I switch off the power when not in use. I hope this on/off/on switching doesnt prove a strain on the switching mechanism. The 24 month battery life should prove-out with my power switching habit. Otherwise I went through a set of fresh energizers over the course of 1 month. Update 090218: Previous 4 * downgraded. This POS eats batteries. Purchase 062118 followed soon thereafter with battery replacement. Now its hardly more than 2 months later (from purchase) Im starting on my third set of batteries, after employing my on/off switching schema. Stock up on AAA, go back to non bluetooth, or at the very least dont buy this POS. Update 092218: Previous 2 downgraded yet again. This POS easts batteries. 19 days on the last set of fresh Energizers. Rcvd a replacement today. POS paired after extended wait. Interface said it was paired/connected, but brand new unit would operate cursor. Switched back to 1st POS and it immediately paired up and operated as expected. You should see the BS fm TeckNet, numb nuts try to say 3000mAh AA (yes, AA) should last 480hrs of continuous use. These wudnt make a good...well, I cant say what theyd be good for.

The mouse works well overall, but the center wheel requires too much effort to press down on it to use as a center button; for example when opening a link to a new tab. However, the rotation of the wheel works well and as expected. The rubber traction wrapped around the wheel is excellent and provides for a smooth operation. Someone gave advice on disabling the computers Bluetooth from going to sleep (Device Manager>>>Bluetooth Radios>>>Intel Wireless Bluetooth Adapter>>>Power Management). I did that in advance and the mouse connects consistently and without problems. When the mouse goes to sleep, it is easy enough to wake it by pressing one the buttons and waiting 2 or 3 seconds. Alternatively, the mouse can be shut off for long periods of inactivity or transport. When I turn the mouse back on, the connection is immediate as far as I can tell. It is similar in design to the Logitech M510, but its about an inch shorter and proportionally smaller in girth. My hands are large and I had no problem adjusting to the smaller size. Easy to recommend at such a low price, as it looks and feels like a quality product. Despite the center wheel requiring extra effort to press down on, I would buy this product again. BTW: I ordered from Hippidion USA and I appreciate their "welcome" and follow-up emails to ensure Im satisfied with the purchase.
