This is not the exact same product that you would receive if you were to purchase it on Steelseriess official website. My brother ordered his off of steelseries for a total of $38 dollars. We had some suspicion over the differences and quality of Steelseries mousepads sold by Amazon due to previous experiences. So I decided to purchase mine from Amazon for a comparison. There is a difference with the rubber found underneath the mousepad. The one sold by Steelseries seems to be from a newer revision or model. the multiple logos on the back are shiny when held up at a certain angle, when we did this with mine, there is very little shine, and appears to be of an inferior quality. This alone proves that there is manufacturing or product differences between the mousepads sold here and on their official website. My guess is that Amazon is carrying older models of the mousepad but im not sure. In terms of the actual surface, I cant say that I notice any difference at all. Both mousepads feel the same when using them with a mouse and when feeling them with my hand. I purchased mine for around $28, so there is a $10 savings when you choose Amazon. Im still disappointed that we received different products even when they were purchased within a week of each other. But I think the savings was worth it, and I think they are essentially the same product with minor differences.

My favorite mouse pad was the Turtle Beach Drift, which came free with their gaming mouse. It was too small though, and evidently is no longer made (someone in Germany is selling the large size, but I do not want to be in the position of having hours of muscle memory and no replacement available). I am a low DPI/sens fps player with years of quake experience as well as some unreal tournament, COD, and a little bit of camper strike. Currently I play way too much Overwatch (tracer main). Mouses/mice used on this pad have been a Razer Deathadder 2013, Zowie EC-2A, and a Rival 300. I have also tried the same mice on a Logitech G240, and both the Goliath speed and control pads. This pad was initially too fast. I then purchased the Goliath control (that lasted 5 minutes), then the G240, which was decent. I then later, out of curiosity tried the Goliath speed, which was decent as well .... but my aim was always better, statistically in game on the QCK heavy. So I pressed on. This pad needs some wear before it shines. After about 2 months,, it was broken in and exceeded all of the above mentioned pads. As you can see, I do not take this stuff lightly. That being said, my perfect mouse/pad combo is the QCK heavy with the G240 on top ... and the EC-2A. So, there you have it

This is a really nice mouse pad. The thickness is great and it is comfortable to use. The size is also perfect for use in games where low sensitivity is required like FPSs. The edges are really solid and after months of use they arent fraying at all, even on the most heavily used area, the bottom. After using this for quite some time, the only complaint that I have is that the heavily used areas are starting to turn white due to being rubbed against so often. This doesnt affect the performance of the mouse, that Ive noticed, but it does take away from the clean look of an all black mouse pad. When this is taken out of the packaging, it will need to be pressed under some large books to get the curves out of the edges, this doesnt take to long (overnight should be okay), and makes the mouse pad lay flat on a desk. This is caused because it is shipped rolled up in a tube, this isnt a complaint against the pad, just a minor setback to getting started using it as it wont be an issue after it goes away.

(QcK+ Limited) (UPDATE: After a long while with this pad, the edge that I keep my wrist near started curling upward. The stitching is still there but the pad, itself, is curling up on the edge. I decided to turn it around and use the opposite side but then that side did the same thing after a while. I havent found any way to fix this issue beside putting heavy things on the edge Im not using, use the other side and then turn it again after it starts to bother me. Still not really sure what is even causing that issue in the first place) After opening up the box, it was rolled (as most cloth pads are) but not extremely tight so it flattened out well almost instantly. As for the pad itself, it is very thin so be sure if you are getting this to use it on a surface that is totally flat. A part of my desk had a bump I had to sand down to make it flush with my desk since my mouse had a difficult time running over it without the cursor freaking out a bit. The pad is very large. If you are very particular about how your setup is presented, make sure you had a wide desk. If you dont have a very wide desk and do not mind your keyboard being over part of the pad, I would suggest going through with buying this. There is more surface area covered (even with the keyboard partially over about two inches of it) that it will be impossible for me to run out of room to move my mouse. Tracking hasnt given me any issue. As with all cloth pads, this will collect little specks fairly easily. The texture is very smooth and the mouse glides over it well. Coming from years of using hard pads, I was hesitant to purchase a cloth pad because I can be pretty obsessive about small details and hard pads generally fit the bill for being able to move easily with little effort. However, this pad has definitely changed my outlook and find that more precise movements work much better for me on it. Overall, a great pad. Plenty of room to move your mouse without needing to worry about it going over an edge, nice smooth texture, stitched edges and the unboxing process was a lot better than I imagined for how tightly rolled most cloth pads seemed to be with other people claiming to put it back in the box rolled the other way to fix it. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is because I do think it is a little too thin and will cause problems for anyone with any imperfections on whichever side of the desk you would be using this pad on. However, I dont think many people have this issue.

Strictly as a mouse pad, this SteelSeries QcK mouse pad is great. It doesnt take up a lot of real estate on my desk, yet provides a more-than-adequately large area to move my mouse on (for years, Ive used mouse pads that were HALF this size and they were adequate). In fact, I looked and looked all over the internet for a mouse pad that would actually fit on my small desk (without crowding out my long keyboard) and this one was the smallest-width RGB mouse pad I could find (12.6" wide by 10.8" deep). The micro-woven cloth surface works precisely and perfectly with my laser mouse (It also feels amazing to the touch). The product description calls this a "gaming surface" rather than a "mouse pad" and is quite worthy of that sophisticated term. The USB cord connects ON THE SIDE of this mouse pad and is comparatively small and very low profile, so it never interferes with your mouse cord—a VERY big plus. This connector is unobtrusive, very tastefully done and unique among RGB mouse pads. The USB cable is permanently attached, so you cant unplug it at the pad connection. There is also no USB pass-thru to attach other devices, but these are minor issues (especially in light of the amazing RGB color show you get). The connection has a tastefully embossed SteelSeries logo on it, not a huge, ugly, printed logo in the bottom corner like so many mouse pads have. The only problem I had with the QcK was that under normal use, it slipped around a fair amount. I fixed this problem by placing two small strips of double-sided tape on the back; now its perfect. As an RGB mouse pad, the SteelSeries QcK is extremely simple—works right out of the box. Just plug it into a USB port and it lights up colorfully and brilliantly—no software to install or download. There are only 2 "zones," Not 50 million or some other ridiculous number like some other mouse pads have. This 2-zone system, however, doesnt in the least diminish the impressive light show you get. It lights up with purple at the top of the mouse pad, then circulates counterclockwise, turns to orange, then red, yellow, green, cyan, and blue, then back to purple and repeats; all this while flowing very smoothly in a counterclockwise direction. In addition, the LED strip is located to the sides of the mouse pad, making it easier to see and brighter than an LED strip that is hidden underneath the mouse pad (which creates more of a "backlighting" effect). There are no buttons for options and no software-based control over the colors or other options (such as speed, direction, pulsation, brightness, etc.), which is all right by me since I dont need (or want) a PhD just to know how to control the colors on a mouse pad. This circulating, color-shifting looks very impressive and if you keep your mouth shut about the simplicity of the 2-zone RGB lighting, some people might actually think you had to spend several days in complicated driver software to program these effects. Even in daylight conditions, this mouse pad looks amazing and its all a "no-brainer." With the Rainbow Wave setting on my Corsair K55 RGB keyboard and the flashing multicolor RGB setting on my Gskill Ripjaws MX780 mouse (the most awesome-looking mouse in the world), and this SteelSeries QcK RGB mouse pad, the light show on my desk looks totally awesome; in the dark its mind-blowing. Friends and other visitors are very impressed by this SteelSeries QcK, but perhaps a little intimidated. They keep asking me where the mode buttons on the QcK are and to pull up the control software to see how complicated it looks, but I keep denying them their requests. If they only knew how simply this mouse pad lighting works, they wouldnt believe it! And they would have killed me and I wouldnt have written this review.

I have used an optical mouse for several years now and for a few of those years, I just used it directly in the surface of my keyboard tray until the "wood grain" pattern started to wear off which left a poor surface for the laser to react to. I then made a DIY mouse pad by printing a pattern on regular paper which I then put into a vinyl sheet protector. This worked very well until the sheet protector started to warp and become "cloudy" as a result of the mouse passing over it repeatedly. I had been looking at large mousepad options for a while. I wanted one that would cover the entire surface of my keyboard tray which is approximately 27" by 17" but, the only ones that would do that would need to be cut down in size. As much as the larger mousepads cost it would be foolish to cut them into a smaller size and void any warranty (the warranty issue is something I didn;t even think about until I contacted Steelseries to see if the XXL version without a stitched edge could be cut down without any issues of separation between the fabric and the foam backing and they did not recommend cutting it because it voids the warranty). This large sized pad (which is roughly 17" by 15") seems a nice compromise. When I was using my DIY solution I would have trouble when going too close to the top and the mouse would get caught on the edge which is why I wanted one that would cover the 17-inch space from front to back on my keyboard tray. The only reason I wanted to also go from edge to edge was purely for aesthetics and while this mouse pad does not cover the entire area I wanted it to it does everything else it is needed to do. I give this 4 stars rather than 5 as the logo on the corner seems as though it can wear off rather easily (this is based mostly on visual observation and a little bit on running my fingers over the logo). I could remedy this by having the corner with the logo at the back edge of my keyboard tray rather than at the front edge but, I prefer having it where I will actually see it. As many reviews for larger mousepads state, it does not lay completely flat when you initially take it out of the box. However, there does not appear to be any major buckling or any sort of "hump" that some people seem to have with larger mousepads. The biggest potential problem with a fabric covered mouse pad has to do with liquids and stains but, I knew this before I even decided to make the purchase. Unless you want a different sized mousepad (be it larger OR smaller) I think you would be happy with this product. Very nice mousepad! Excellent surface for an optical mouse

Showing 1-8 of 9,620 reviews...of all their products, not the exact thing I bought though. I bought one of these back when, I love it, kept a can of Pledge by it, and we had a good time making E-sports a thing for ya yoots. I like that I can buy the hard one again. Id love to review this pad I bought again and used the previous for years as a gamer...but the reviews are combined for all and I wont tolerate that at this point. If you like the Hard, buy the hard. I dont like the cloth so I wont buy the cloth again. This HARD pad is just what I instantly remember over the decades. And Pledge. I like em fast...sorry you like the cloth ones...not a fault of those
