Did not care for this keyboard for the following reasons: I have tried many many wireless keyboards for work including gaming keyboards such as Razer keyboard to boast typing productivity. Be aware, if you use function keys often, they are small on this keyboard.

Apparently have a defective keyboard. I have the same one at work and works just fine so I wanted to buy the same one for my home PC. This keyboard does not have a functioning 2, 3, C, T, V, X, or backspace key. Ive read where there is a flaw in the construction of the keyboard and many people have this same issue. Buy at your own risk. Ive tried calling Microsoft twice about finding a solution and have been hung up on twice. Not happy at all.

I just got this in the mail today and after inspecting and testing it, I have to say, this keyboard is great! Dont let the negative reviews deter you. I ordered my product directly from Amazon and not through another seller. The keyboard has little features that make you really appreciate the keyboard in the end (i.e. an on and off switch on the mouse, crevices on both the keyboard and mouse for the one USB wireless adapter, function keys that work, etc.). The quality of the keyboard is unmistakably great and the mouse has a nice feel and weight to it. I really love it and I think that you will too. I actually decided to purchase this keyboard over the Logitech one and do not regret it at all. *****Edited 1/14/2014************ I have been using the combo for less than a year (received on February 18, 2013) and the USB transceiver has gone out on me. I figured no problem... I could probably find a replacement, a universal transceiver or Microsoft replacement. Unfortunately for me, no such thing exists. Apparently Microsoft states that the transceivers are personalized for each set, making the entire combo completely useless. I now have two nice looking pieces of plastic in my hands. I am very disappointed as the set costed quite a bit of $$$ I was hoping the set would at least last longer than a year! Now I have to search for a new set! Wont be going with Microsoft again... Be wary fellow consumers!

This was my second set of the same item, and both have failed in the same manner. After about a year, the USB receiver is no longer recognized by the computer. I only purchased the second set thinking that it was a fluke on the first one, and the keyboard and mouse are ergonomically comfortable to use. The second set was purchased June 2017 for my work computer, and was not used at all for 4 months between September through December 2017 (maternity leave). It worked just fine when I returned to work for about 5 months, and then intermittently the USB receiver would not connect. I know this is not an expensive unit, but am extremely disappointed with quality control.

I accidentally got this thinking it was was the same model we used at work, which are cheap but usable. This model is not satisfactory. Keys are beyond mushy, I cant find any surface the mouse will track on consistently, and the scroll wheel doesnt click. The wrist rest is designed for looks not comfort, and the the USB dongle is massive like an USB drive. If I kept the packaging this would be returned. I wont even donate it to goodwill its so bad. E-cycling here we come, waste of money.

Im not in much of a mood for jokes, so lets get to it; this is a cheaply made product, and if you get more than a couple of months of constant use out of it, youre lucky. 1)For some reason, I got a Spanish version of the pictured product, which doesnt matter, really, except it made troubleshooting a chore due to everything(buttons, instructions on the back of the keyboard for syncing, etc)being in a message I cant read. A shipping mix-up, no doubt, but I thought it was worth noting nonetheless. 2)The keyboard & mouse arent exactly sturdy or durable in terms of construction. I guess thats a byproduct of the price-point. Really cheap plastic, all the way, and buttons that feel like theyll collapse under my fingertips any second with every keystroke. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for. 3)The wireless receiver failed. Its not getting interference or anything like that, its not my drivers or an update I missed or some software I dont have, the USB receiver just up and died, less than a third of a year from its purchase, and Ive used it all of maybe 20 hours, total(going by the playtime for the one game I bought to use it with). I cant replace the receiver without buying a new bundle, and Ill be damned if I give Microsoft any more of my money to end up boned again. I now have a dead USB receiver and two cheap doorstops that I cant use when I hook my laptop up to my TV. Nice. Microsofts tech support is as useless as this pile of crap I have sitting on my desk right now. Keep your money in your pocket, or be ready to invest a little more, just to preserve your own sanity. Id recommend buying the mouse separate from they keyboard, just in case things go bad; at least, that way, you have something that works at the end of the day.
