Just got this mouse and it seems to work well. I have the previous version at work and bought this one for home. One very important tip Id like to share, if you are using it with a Mac and plan on using the Bluetooth connection you may have connection issues initially. For me, it would continually disconnect and reconnect and it was unusable. Thirty seconds of Googling solved my problem though. Just need to connect the usb receiver it comes with to your Mac and connect the mouse initially using that receiver. I believe it is updating the firmware when you do this because I did this and left it connected for about a minute, then disconnected the receiver and reconnected the mouse through bluetooth and voila it works great!!!

I decided to go for a top-of-the-line mouse since I spend so much time with one in my hand. This one is extremely comfortable -- probably the most comfortable one Ive ever used. My hand doesnt feel fatigued or sore after hours of use, as happened with most other mice. The thumb ledge is weird to get used to, but it makes for an even more comfortable experience. If you have RSI, tendinitis or just feel pain or discomfort after much mousing, this is an excellent solution. The tracking is smooth and precise. No complaints on that front at all. The Bluetooth pairing is excellent. Zero lag and no unresponsiveness after not using the mouse for some seconds or minutes. It responds like a wired mouse. And this is on both Linux and Windows. The MX Master 2S does have some downsides, but nothing I cant live with: 1. Mousewheel does NOT have side-to-side buttons. Ive grown VERY accustomed to these and still miss them. Its hard to believe such a high-end mouse doesnt have them. 2. The thumb wheel, which is supposed to replace the mousewheels side buttons, works completely differently and is no replacement for them. I used them to switch between virtual desktops. Doing that with the wheel will give you nausea, as the desktops fly by. No matter how much you try to use the thumbwheel to do something you did with buttons before, it wont work out. Youre going to end up overshooting and scrolling back no matter what. 3. The two "extra" buttons next to the thumb wheel have a truly awful design. Theyre shaped like long opposing wedges, and your thumb will naturally lean on the bottom one and hit it with the side of the thumb. The top button requires you to both raise your thumb and retract it significantly in order to press it, on the other hand, so the movements to hit the two buttons are neither symmetric nor parallel nor mirrored -- theyre idiosyncratic. And when you try to hit the top button, youre still going to hit the wheel 4 times out of 5, among other things because its larger end segues flush into the thumb wheel. Piss poor design! 4. The button for switching between computers is on the bottom, making it cumbersome to do so. The M720 Triathlon has the button placed very conveniently where your thumb can get to it without even looking. 5. Theres no compartment or hole in the mouse to store the USB receiver, making it very easy to lose and even easier to just not bring anywhere. Even though the Logitech M720 Triathlon is clearly a much more cheaply built mouse, and is far less comfortable to me, it has none of these failings. I really wish Logitech would make an MX Master 3S that addresses points 1-5 above. It would be pretty much the ultimate mouse! Still, this one is COMFORTABLE. Cant emphasize that enough.

Pros: -Extremely customizable software. Im convinced that is 50% of the cost for this thing. Can set gestures that allow me to use the mouse in ways Ive never thought before. -Fills the hand well -Scroll mechanism is refined and now electrically actuated to serve as a hybrid free-wheel and ratchet, you can customize thresholds in the software -Flow might be nice when I get around to using it -Multi device is a beautiful thing. Goodbye, unifying receivers and dongles. I will not miss you. -Pretty. I dont have enough blue computer stuff, and its nice to see the decade-long infatuation with "black everything" is finally easing up. Get some color in your life and do yourself a favor! Pick blue! Worth the extra $ Cons -Taking a lot of time to adjust to the size. It is a massive mouse and I wear a medium glove size and find myself repositioning constantly as I get used to it. Im coming from a Logitech Marathon mouse, which was considerably tiny in comparison. -Rechargeable is nice but I prefer the 3 year life of replaceable batteries. I have yet to see how inconveniencing plugging it in will be, but I can imagine it is less inconvenient than having the batteries randomly die on you in the field with no super-fast way to replace them. -Might be nice to have device switching somewhere on the top-side of the mouse. There is quite a bit of dead space between the thumbwheel and the front of the mouse, which could have unobtrusively placed that setting button. This is also a minor nitpick that hasnt necessarily hampered my quality of life -The price. I know I said spend more for the blue, but it really is a tough sell being so expensive already. It is the #1 or #2 way to interact with a desktop PC, so quality is important, but there is a limit (looking at you, Craft keyboard) where functionality tops off.
