Trying to get this thing to work has been the most frustrating mouse-related hour of my life. It connects to the bluetooth for about 5 seconds before just deciding to disconnect and slow-blink. So then I tried channel 2, paired it, and got another maybe 10-15 seconds of it moving around before it stopped. Then I tried uninstalling Logitech Options, thinking maybe that was breaking something, and tried pairing to channel 3, again it worked for about 10 seconds before deciding that channel was now also a slow-blink channel. Its unbelievable, $10 garbage mice at least have bluetooth that works. Maddening that theyre talking up all this crap no one needs (File sharing/Flow)... how about adding a feature where the mouse actually works at all? My last few mice have been Corsair but they generally break down after about 6 months, so I figured a brand like Logitech might be more durable. Holy hell was I wrong since its a broken piece of junk new out of the box. Edit: Still cant get it to work for more than 10 seconds at a time. Even more annoying - it does have a micro-USB port on the mouse, but its just for charging - why not let the micro-USB let me use it as a corded mouse? Thats what my bluetooth keyboard does. I wish I could give negative stars for this scam of a "premium productivity" mouse. $80 in the trash but a lesson to never buy from Logitech again.

Ive used an MX Performance for 8 years and I love it, but the left click button has started bouncing and dropping, but it has been an excellent mouse for all this time. So I thought I would spend a little more and upgrade to the MX Master 2S. After so long with the other mouse, the feel was weird, but I figured Id get over that in a little while. When I started programming the buttons though I found the options limited to the point where it was unusable. I so rarely forward that I programmed that on my old mouse to do CMD-W so I could close windows and tabs easily, the down thumb button just acted like I was holding the control key so I could bring up contextual menus with one click or zoom in just by pressing my thumb down and scrolling. The right click I had set up in browsers only to be a CMD-Click that would open a link in a new tab, which I do a lot. None of this is possible with this new mouse. I returned it the day after I got it and ordered a new MX Performance.

For reference, Im a software engineer. The OS I used setting this up is Windows 10. I have used multiple "fancy" keyboards and mice over the years and highly value speed and ease of use, as well as comfort when working with a device for long hours (sometimes too long). When this mouse arrived, I was really pleased. It has a great feel, and look, and glides effortlessly. I was really excited to set it up. I spent a day using it and really *wanted* to keep it, but in the end decided the flaws were fatal and could not be fixed. 1. The thumb wheel is terribly inaccurate. A small push sometimes sends signals well after the wheel is stopped. Other times, a large push wont be registered at all. I would have loved to set this up as a way to scan quickly through browser tabs -- but within a few hours I realized it wasnt going to work. I could never land on the tab i wanted, and would sometimes see the tab fly even though the wheel was stopped long before. 2. The thumb buttons are too small and too hard to push. If you bend your thumb awkwardly to push them with the tip of the thumb, they can be pushed; but using the side of the thumb is nearly impossible to do quickly or accurately. 3. I really liked the idea of the gesture button at the base of the thumb. However, the pressure required to push there is too great, and the amount of movement required to trigger a gesture after pressing is too large. It makes using the button and gestures too much of a break from the flow of working, and meant that my gestures were often ignored because I didnt move all the way across the mouse pad to trigger them. Yuck. In the end, if the thumb wheel had worked really well, I think I probably would have kept it because I liked the feel of it that much (although, I honestly probably shouldnt have considered it because those damn thumb buttons would have given me a repetitive stress injury...) Its such a shame though.... it *could be* a really amazing mouse with a few fixes and tweaks.

Two major problems: 1) The left mouse button is not fully functional. I have to click 3 or 4 times to get it to activate. Problem is you have to click it in a position close to the front of the mouse in order for it to work. Very frustrating. Ive seen other people complain of the same thing. Person said she had small hands so had to uncomfortably mover her index finger toward the front of the mouse to get that button to work. I have large hands and have the same problem. 2) Scrolling with the middle wheel is inconsistent. Ill scroll down a list and at one point it will stop scrolling. Ill keep trying to scroll and it finally kicks-in, but over scrolls the list Im scrolling and I have to back up to where I want to go. Also very frustrating and time consuming. A minor problem 3) and what the mouse was designed for, is to be able to take an image file (JPG) from a different computers monitor, and bring it to your main computer monitor. They advertise you can do this but I could never do it. Yes, my mouse slid over to the other computers monitor, but I couldnt grab anything to bring back to my business computer monitor. I really bought the mouse for this function. But I couldnt get it to work that way. This mouse is not ready for prime time - and is certainly not reliable and functional for business use.

One of the more expensive Logitech mice AND a major disappointment. The bluetooth connection produced impossibly jerky mouse movements both on my iMac and on my Dell XPS 15 laptop such that I had to resort to the enclosed unifying receiver for the laptop. Even then, the mouse movement was not smooth. Upon searching the internet for a solution, I noted that several users cited similar problems and no solution.

I have two MX Masters and this MX Master 2S. I bought them to use on my Apple MAC computers. I love the customizable buttons and all of the configuration possibilities. if it werent for the severe lethargy issues, this would be a glowing 5 star posting! There is a real problem however with this mouse and that is the performance. When moving the mouse across the screen, it often freezes, or slows to a near freeze. When this happens I have to reach for the track pad. I wasnt sure what the issue was until it got so bad that I started a web search for Logitech MAC and lag/sluggish. What I found was mention of this in many places and even on the Logitech support forums. I read that the software causes the issue, at the advice of a posting on the forum I uninstalled the Logitech Options software from the Mac and it works great that way, no sluggishness, no lag at all. Unfortunately the mouse then becomes a stupid three button mouse. So I have two choices, use the options software and when it lags, reach for the trackpad, -or- turn the expensive mouse into a 3 button mouse. I would not recommend this mouse for use on a MAC.

If youve ever used an older wireless mouse from the previous generation (4+ years ago), you might remember that most of them have fairly poor battery life, especially the ones with built-in lithium ion batteries. Like me, you might have also had experiences where your wireless mouse would have weird performance issues or would take a while to "wake up" after not using it for a while. Logitech has been making wireless mice for a long time. Its clear from this devices nearly flawless implementation that theyve taken an iterative improvement approach to their product, with a goal of making it longer-lasting, more durable, more convenient and more reliable while also meeting the performance expectations of both gamers and power users. This is a fairly expensive device as far as mice go, but the build quality and all the other aspects of this mouse are so great that its well worth the price. I bought one for my office and one for home. My favorite part about this mouse is how its flexible between the Logitech Unifying receiver and Bluetooth. The only problem Ive ever had with this device is that certain sub-par Bluetooth implementations (such as the one built into my desktop) doesnt provide a very reliable signal, but thats probably because the signal has to travel through my PC case and desk to reach the mouse. The Unifying signal is basically flawless and far superior to Bluetooth. The other part I really like is how I didnt have to tweak or customize it at all in software for it to feel just right for me. It didnt take me any time to adjust; it felt perfect from the start. The side buttons on the top left "ridge are a little difficult for me to press with my thumb because theyre so far back; I wouldnt have to bend my thumb as much if they were a little closer to the front. But I dont use them terribly often so its not a showstopper for me. The scroll wheel dynamic adjust between free-wheel and click mode is awesome. I really like it because its easy to scroll a long distance through a big document with one swipe, but if you want to scroll a few lines at a time you can do that, too. Overall this is the best mouse I currently own. Its just as good as gaming wired mice from the competition, but the battery life of 3-4 months between charges means the typical disadvantages of wireless mice arent really a factor.

Pros: -Extremely customizable software. Im convinced that is 50% of the cost for this thing. Can set gestures that allow me to use the mouse in ways Ive never thought before. -Fills the hand well -Scroll mechanism is refined and now electrically actuated to serve as a hybrid free-wheel and ratchet, you can customize thresholds in the software -Flow might be nice when I get around to using it -Multi device is a beautiful thing. Goodbye, unifying receivers and dongles. I will not miss you. -Pretty. I dont have enough blue computer stuff, and its nice to see the decade-long infatuation with "black everything" is finally easing up. Get some color in your life and do yourself a favor! Pick blue! Worth the extra $ Cons -Taking a lot of time to adjust to the size. It is a massive mouse and I wear a medium glove size and find myself repositioning constantly as I get used to it. Im coming from a Logitech Marathon mouse, which was considerably tiny in comparison. -Rechargeable is nice but I prefer the 3 year life of replaceable batteries. I have yet to see how inconveniencing plugging it in will be, but I can imagine it is less inconvenient than having the batteries randomly die on you in the field with no super-fast way to replace them. -Might be nice to have device switching somewhere on the top-side of the mouse. There is quite a bit of dead space between the thumbwheel and the front of the mouse, which could have unobtrusively placed that setting button. This is also a minor nitpick that hasnt necessarily hampered my quality of life -The price. I know I said spend more for the blue, but it really is a tough sell being so expensive already. It is the #1 or #2 way to interact with a desktop PC, so quality is important, but there is a limit (looking at you, Craft keyboard) where functionality tops off.

Like the prior version of this mouse, within a short time of use - literally an hour or two - the ratchet function on the scroll wheel stopped working. Where this was brand new, I didn’t want to take the mouse apart like so many helpful videos I found suggested, so I opted to open a support case with Logitech. Wow, what a mistake. Prior to opening the case I went through all the online troubleshooting steps and commented as such in the case notes. Their first response back was to try the online support steps. The also requested an actual photo of the mouse with the support case written on a piece of paper next to it. Seriously? After some additional back and forth they offered to RMA the mouse. I asked, repeatedly, for some assurances that a new mouse wouldn’t suffer from the same immediate problems as this mouse. Logitech either could not or would not provide any assurances. When pressed on this, they offered me a coupon to their store to purchase a new product. (Amazon’s daily price is comparable to Logitech store price less their coupon discount - so no bargain there.). When I asked to have my case escalated to a manager they closed it as "resolved". Thankfully Amazon’s hassle free return policy is my best course of action here.

I really wanted to like this mouse but holy cow where to begin? - The horizontal scrolling thumb wheel has no click-stops and hardly any feedback. You can barely feel the wheel is moving at all and all of a sudden youre on the far end of that excel doc. Tuning the sensitivity doesnt help. There just no tactile feedback. - The thumb buttons are in a really bad spot and way too small. Reaching them is a pain and not something you get used to. Every time, it feels like you have to go hunting for them. I use these buttons a LOT. - The biggest killer for me was the button bindings. I spend 98% of my time connected to remote servers. Servers where I really cant install Logitech software to bind mouse buttons to tasks. On this mouse, what are usually the thumb buttons are bound to the roller wheel. I found no way o change this and it sucks when youre using Remote Desktop. - The scroll wheel does not tilt. agrh! How did I miss that before ordering this thing? I returned this for an MX Anywhere 2S and Im much happier. The Anywhere is smaller but I find it quite comfortable. YMMV.
