I would have given this wireless Keyboard Mouse five stars if it was not for the intermittent LAG I have been experiencing. Sometimes, but not all the time, the keyboard acts like it is late to dinner at waking up. Then all of a sudden it works but misses the first keys sent. Or worse, a key gets pressed and it wakes up in the middle of that, and stays pressed until hit again. I moved the USB dongle all over the place. From the front of my PC, to a USB hub, to the back of my PC. The issue continues. I thought maybe it was my phone or other RF interference but I am pretty sure I eliminated all that with no results. So perhaps I have either a bad keyboard or dongle. The solar app shows the keyboard is fully charged so that cannot be the issue. Strangely, the mouse seems unaffected. I have several unifying dongles I bought as a back up in case one gets lost, so I will try to pair with one of those to see if this fixes it. As for the product itself, when it is working, the action of the keyboard is (for lack of a better word)... beautiful. I do not think I have ever typed on a nicer keyboard. It reminds me of the keyboard on my laptops, but nicer. The mouse feels a little flimsy but has not failed to perform at all. The rigid/smooth mouse wheel button feels a bit clunky, but honestly, how often is anyone going to change that preference? I guess if you are a graphic artist you would. It is also much lighter than I like. My M510 is much heaver and I like that in a mouse. In my opinion, the intermittent keyboard thing has to be either a software bug, driver issue, or maybe just a dongle issue. It is hard to low rate this combo because of it, considering how heavy the keyboard is (NICE!), how solid it feels, how great the action is, and the layout. And even the solar app works great! Over the top maybe, telling me what the LUX is when all the time since I had it, the battery has been 100% charged. Unless you are a vampire that needs to compute in complete blackness, one would never even have to look at this app. Still, it opened my eyes to this application and how it can be applied to other embedded projects I am building. This is why I am resisting the urge to take this baby apart and see how they did it. :) I will post an update if I figure out what the issue is with the keyboard lag. One late note worth mentioning. Just unplugging the dongle and plugging it back in fixed it for me, at least for now. If it comes back, I will rinse and repeat. If it continues to make it work for awhile, then at least I know where to go to continue troubleshooting.

I got this keyboard about 3 months ago and have been using it everyday since then. Pros: No need to replace batteries! Easy set up Durable materials Quiet keys Price Cons: Sometimes the keyboard freezes and I have to turn off and on to get it to start typing again. This is the reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Its not a big deal but I dont think it should do this. Other than this its a great keyboard. Theres an on and off button. I always leave it on and have no issues with the way it charges. I love that it has a button where you can check if you have good lighting for proper charging. I dont have this keyboard by a window, plain office lights do the trick. I saw some folks complain about the solar bar scratching. I decided to leave the plastic that protects it and dont even notice it. Overall I recommend this keyboard.

Ive had four of these. On the first one, one of the keys started failing after a year of light to regular use, so I replaced with the second one, where I spilled coffee on. It did get soaked but still worked. However because the keys became sticky I hosed the keyboard, yes I did and dried it out. It didnt work after that. It could be because I did not remove the battery first or did not turn switch off (to turn the solar panels off). I threw it after that not even thinking to replace the battery first. well thats all on hindsight. I am on my third one on my home PC and have a fourth one at work. Only changed the battery on one but I think it was unnecessary. It was probably because I let it drain and did not have enough light shining on the keyboard. Other than that instance, I never had to replace batteries on the rest of them, and its been years now. Should be 5 but that meant perfect, but because of the failing key i knocked it down a bit. Maybe it should be 4.99 ?

Ill jump right into this by reviewing both parts of the combo. Mouse: Without a doubt the worst mouse I have ever used. The scroll wheel feels cheap and is WAY too sensitive. It has a button to change it from a smooth operation to a more feedback oriented motion which is pointless, I mean since when did you ever need smooth scroll wheel operation anyway? So often times when you click down on the scroll wheel, your page will move up then activate the scroll wheel button which is HORRIBLE in games or anything that uses the middle mouse button. Secondly the forward/back buttons are in an awkward position which causes you to actually move your hand to press them which is annoying. Outside of those the mouse is fine, but the above is REALLY bad in my opinion. Keyboard: The keyboard is solid. The solar charging works really well, it doesnt even need to be in direct light to charge. Its small which is also nice and keyboard presses are quiet and smooth. Only downside to the keyboard is the gloss coat it has will collect fingerprints like nobodys business. Also the keyboard has no ergonomics to it, its pretty standard rectangular shape. I didnt buy it for that but those looking for one wont find it here. Overall: Keyboard is great, the mouse however is garbage. If possible buy just the keyboard and get a separate Logitech mouse that supports the unifying receiver, any mouse aside from the one in this combo. I personally went with a MX mouse as they are always pretty solid. Battery life on both seem pretty good however, but again the mouse just isnt worth getting the combo so shoot for just the keyboard.

I really liked Logitech products... and Im using the keyboard to type this... so far it works, since it came 2 hours ago. BUT WTF!!!!!!!! the damn mouse stopped working in the first hour out of the box. I bought another combo set and the keyboard stopped working in a few months. Now I have a mouse from 1 set and the keyboard from the other, but it does not unify the old mouse. Just plain bulls***. I may stop buying logitech products anymore after this. The keyboard seems nicely made, it charges quickly in room light, and the mouse seemed solid but lost its link and would not sync up after an hour trying. Wheres the quality control? EDIT: I was given a replacement for these items. I will see if the first set of mouse batteries actually last 3 years, and if this mouse/keyboard will last longer than the battery life advertised. I like the keyboard and mouse. They are solidly constructed, and have good feel. Edit: I applied for a refund, and they offered to send a new unit before I send back the defective set... It will arrive in a few days... If this has ANY defects, Ill be getting a refund. So, I added another star for fast service. I shall soon see since the first keyboard of the other set only lasted a few months.

This thing is sexy! Works well, low light isnt much of a problem as the internal battery hold a charge for a long time. Pros: * Great working solar panels, even effective under low light florescent bulbs * Long battery life if you live in a bat cave * Easy to type on buttons. Doesnt give you a "clicking noise" but just a good moderately silent keyboard functionality * Despite being almost compact, it maintains the 10-keys to the right, thank you! * Laser mouse movement, allowing for use without a mouse pad, Cons: * As others have pointed out, the mouse buttons on the left are just in the wrong darn spot!! They function, but its a nuisance to need to adjust the hand to press them. * Despite being sexy, the plastic coating where the solar panels are is VERY susceptible to scratches... Grr.. Even a cheap tissue will instantly scratch the surface!! Seriously??! Keyboards need to be cleaned / dusted... It should have been a bit more scratch resistant.

This arrived on time and i was so exited to receive this. I purchased sold as pre-owned of open box. This did not come in original box but i must say this was very much packed well. Came with a lot of scratches around the solar panel on the top and a white scratch an imperfection on the left bottom corner. However, the mouse and the keyboard works perfectly and the solar panel is charging the keyboard. Once you plug in the 2 usb that came in the box into your desktop. It immediately detected the mouse and keyboard. This keyboard is very convenient for obvious reason but another perk is that it shows how much battery you have left and how much light you have int he room charging the keyboard. This keyboard also arrived super charged. I am so happy with this and i would most definitely purchase this again.
