This mouse is great. I have a Windows 10 tablet that I like to use a mouse with when Im working on it. I was using a mouse with a USB plug before this, but the tablet requires and adapter to use a regular size usb and I could not charge the tablet at the same time I was using the USB mouse. This bluetooth mouse was super easy to pair to the windows tablet (Bluetooth settings, click connect on discover-able mouse). It automatically connects back up when the mouse and PC are both turned back on, and i think it goes to sleep a little to save battery when left idle (have to click, move around sometimes after being idle too long). It is a nice size and fits easily in my purse with my tablet. I have a mini mouse for my desktop at work, and this M557 is only about 3/4" longer than that, fits perfectly in my hand. It does take two AA batteries (my other mouse takes only 1, maybe is the bluetooth signal that uses more juice), the 2 AA batteries make it a little heavier than my other wireless mouse but its not a deal-breaker. There is no blinding blue light on the bottom of the mouse, which is nice. The Windows button works on Windows 10 to bring up your start menu, pretty cool. The scroll wheel is very smooth and not loud. Mouse clicks are slightly louder than my other mouse, but not a deal-breaker. Go ahead and click yes if my review helped you. :)

Im trying to find the best bluetooth mouse for me. So far I have tried Apples magic mouse ($69) and Microsofts bluetooth sculpt mouse ($20). Let me start off by a brief review of these other mice first: Apples Magic Mouse - incredibly versatile mouse. With the addition of apps like BetterTouchtool, it is almost infinitely configurable with custom gestures, taps, etc. And the smooth scrolling was awesome. It also looked nice, but I wasnt too concerned about that in a mouse. The problem with it was it was so thin, and in order to use the touch gestures, you have to hover your hand above the mouse instead of resting on it. Both of these issues combined cause my hand to cramp up like crazy. So I decided to return it. Microsoft sculpt bluetooth mouse - after looking at all the other bluetooth mice I could find, I decided to try this next. The shape is very comfortable to hold, and has an extra "windows" button near the thumb that is configurable to press and swipe up/down. Unfortunately, this button is NOT configurable in OS X. I spent a while looking for an app that would detect it and configure, but was unable to find one. Still, it was cheap and comfortable, so i decided to keep it for my desktop at home, which I rarely ever sit at locally. That brings me to this Logitech. It is not as versatile as Apples Magic mouse, but it is way more comfortable. And unlike microsofts sculpt mouse, there *is* driver software for Mac. With it, you can reprogram the scroll/tilt wheel and middle button as you wish. It is more expensive than the sculpt, but the OS X support was worth the extra $10 to me. In conclusion, I would say if youre looking for a nice cheap bluetooth mouse for windows, go with microsofts sculpt instead. It is cheaper at $20, just as comfortable, and the side windows button is more versatile than the center button on this logitech. BUT if you want a mouse primarily for mac, and like me you dont care for the magic mouse, this is the one to get.

Ive only been using it for a day, so here are my first impressions: 1. I dont like installing driver software, but it was smooth enough and is worthwhile to set up the various button options on my Mac with OS 10.11.6 2. It states it is a "Bluetooth Mouse for Windows" but it excels on a Mac as well. Easy to add the included 2 x AA batteries and pair with the Mac. I dont have any power up delays with my MacBook Air 13" Mid 2012 laptop. 3. It is noticeably taller profile than my Apple mouse, but not so tall that I felt uncomfortable. In other words, it works well. I miss the heaviness of the Apple mouse, but I love the fact the optical sensor is in the middle of the mouse rather than towards the edge near the buttons. This allows me to drift slightly off my mousepad and still use the mouse--unlike the Apple mouse. 4. Having a scroll-wheel and center button was the primary reason for me to get a new mouse versus my Apple mouse. I needed it for CAD and it excels. I LOVE the ability to push the scroll wheel left or right to either horizontally scroll or to switch windows. This makes it much more powerful than the Apple mouse. 5. The Windows button is programmable with the Logitech software. I have not settled on its use but I like having an additional option if needed. 6. The button clicks feel much less quality than that of the Apple mouse, but the additional functionality with the extra control points: center button click, scroll wheel left and right, and extra center button, make me think that for CAD work the Apple mouse has been holding me back. I have yet to see if it lasts 12 months. Ill be happy with 6 months with heavy usage, so well see. I wish it had a simple protective case for travel in my backpack, but oh well. Well also see if the shiny plastic holds up over time. My first impressions are high based upon cost and value and coming from a much more expensive Apple mouse. Hopefully it will continue to be a work horse and improve my job efficiency. I am giving it 4 stars because I needed to deduct 1 star for the quality of the main 2 buttons, which is lower than that of the Apple mouse, and the height of the mouse is slightly less optimal than the Apple mouse (if they included a protective case for carrying I would forgive this point).

This mouse frequently freezes up on Windows 10. It happens mostly at random, but I can replicate the freezing by using the scroll wheel, left clicking, then right clicking within a few seconds. The problem doesnt seem to be the mouse itself, but the drivers for Windows 10. Ive read that it works fine on Windows 7, but I havent tested it. The reason why I believe it is a driver issue is because when it freezes up, sometimes the mouse wont register left and/or right clicks, and even the touchpad on my Lenovo Miix 700 wont work properly until I restart the application Im in or explorer.exe. Ive also tried it on two different computers,both running Windows 10, one with internal bluetooth and one with a dongle, and the issue persists. I purchased a Logitech MX Anywhere 2 mouse and it works really well, so the issue is with either the mouse itself or the drivers.

Apples new macbooks got rid of the standard usb port. I also never liked the apple mouse because of its functionality. This logitech mouse works without a usb via bluetooth and is nice and small yet weighty. Its very functional and dont have to worry about it disconnecting. It automatically connects when I need it to. So easy to use. I HIGHLY recommend this mouse even for users who use windows or computers that still use usb ports.

I purchased the Logitech M557 bluetooth mouse for just $13 and it was an obvious steal. BT mouse usually cost more than wireless ones and so this was a no brainer. However, there stands to be many improvements to be made for this mouse. Lets go over the pros first. Pros: - Connectivity. With a BT mouse, youre usually going to pair it up with a laptop. This means youre free from having a wireless adapter dongle from having to be connected to your laptop all the time. With todays laptop getting thinner and thinner, there just isnt enough USB ports to spare. While you could obviously use a USB hub, this is an inconvenience. For the majority of users, Im assuming that the mouse will be used very close in proximity to their laptop and so in most cases, connectivity strength will not be a problem. This holds true for all the times Ive used this mouse. - Back/Forward Buttons. The mouse wheel not only scrolls up and down as expected but includes the ability for left and right clicks as well. By default in Windows, this translates to the back button (left press) and forward button (right press). This is very useful when browsing in your browser of choice because no longer are the dedicated back and forward buttons in an awkward location as in most mouse. - Windows Button. The dedicated Windows button right below the wheel by default opens up the Start Menu. I believe you can download the Logitech software to customize what this button can do. I rarely go into the Start menu in Windows 10 so Ill definitely change it to something more useful when I can think of something! - Build Quality. The M557 seems very sturdy and well-built for a mobile mouse. - No Hyper-Scroll. This may be a con for many but I hate Logitechs hyper-scroll wheel feature with a passion! Ive had to return a wireless mouse in the past (which I loved) because middle clicking was extremely frustrating and error prone. The M557 does not have this scroll wheel feature and I for one am glad. - Absence of Light. Not sure if this can be considered a pro but be glad to know that there is no optical light whatsoever under the mouse. - Power Switch. Yes, Im old school. I like a dedicated on/off switch. The mouse does have an energy saving mode but still, nothing beats a power switch! Cons: - Weight. Immediately upon using the mouse I realized that this was not a good sign. Im using the Logitech M100 as my daily driver (which in my opinion is the best budget wired mouse ever) and switching to the M557 is a night and day difference. The semi good news is that the mouse can actually operate with just one AA battery! It has slots for two but Im currently using it with only a single battery and have not experienced any issues so far. Trust me, youll want to do this because that extra battery makes a big difference. Its not a deal breaker but its weird how other wireless mouse that requires battery and that seem larger in size feels actually a bit lighter than the M557 here. - Ergonomics. The mouse is not that comfortable to use. It has a fairly square design and although there is a slight hump acting for a hand rest, its not enough. I have very small hands and so I cant imagine how users with larger hands than mine will like this. To be fair though, this is a "mobile" mouse first and foremost so we must understand that some sacrifices must be made. Just realize that using this mouse as your daily driver might be a bit uncomfortable for you. I have no choice but to use the claw style mouse grip with this mouse. This slightly offsets the weight issue since I wont be lifting the mouse a lot (weight con) and the ergonomic con since my palm will be resting on the table instead. - Click Noise. The noise made when clicking on the buttons are fairly audible. This can be quite irritating when used in meetings. This is the complete opposite when scrolling the mouse wheel because that produces almost zero noise. All in all, I think this is a pretty good companion mouse for the mobile user. Youre probably not going to want to use it daily but only at times when it is required. You can throw the mouse in your travel bag and have a peace of mind that you wont have to use that crappy touchpad on your laptop.

Got this mouse for my new iMac. Getting the drivers for it was a little tough, the Logitech site kept telling me there was no drivers or software for this mouse. I kept being told I NEED THE DRIVERS lol. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place hehe. I have no idea how I did it, but I found drivers for it at Logitech even though they kept telling me there was none lol. If I am confused, I hate to say what they are. But I know the STARS are not to represent more than the product itself, not the extra experiences that is sometime tough to ignore. My dislike on this mouse is it is not smooth at all. Scrolling with the center wheel on a web site (like this one) is very jittery or stuttery. The other mouse (Apple) does the scrolls very smoothly. It is odd enough to make it annoying and not easy or comfortable on the eyes. I know there are lots of 5 Stars for this, but my experience is a 1 Star experience. I may even return it. I am using it (the mouse) on a new 2017 iMac i7 27 inch computer. The software and drivers are loaded up. It just isnt smooth. Even cheaper mouse(s) on my PC computer are smoother with the scroll wheel. On the plus side, the mouse WILL scroll left and right when you tilt the center wheel left and right. And it will zoom in the browsers, and inside programs like Final Cut Pro. It just feels like it needs some buffer or something to scroll smoothly. I would like to give it more, but 1 Star is all I can give it in respect for others who may buy this for their new 20127 iMac.

This mouse worked fine for a few months. Now it drops the bluetooth connection every few days. Then I have to remove it from the device list; restart my computer; add it to the device list; move it around several times; and wait for it to drop the connection in a few days so I can go through the process all over again. This is my second purchase of this mouse. The same thing happened with the first mouse I bought a few years ago. I was hoping the first mouse was an unfortunate bit of bad luck. I was wrong; they are all VERY BAD MICE.

Im a mac user, and didnt care for this mouse at first. I found it too sensitive and the middle buttons didnt do what I expected. I downloaded Logitechs driver for the mouse, and initially thought I couldnt configure any of these options. It turns out, everything can be configured, but the UI kind of stinks. The options are as follows. Middle/Windows button: Mission control, app expose, launchpad, look up, middle button, smart zoom. Horizontal Scrolling: switch between pages, switch between desktops, horizontal scrolling Scroll button: Smart zoom, app expose, launchpad, look up, middle button, mission control I selected mission control on the windows button, horizontal scrolling on left/right press of the scroll button, and middle button for a regular click of the scroll button. There is also an option to reduce the pointer speed which I used. I use this mouse for travel use. I dont find it all that ergonomic and wouldnt want to use it daily. I have small hands and find it a little difficult to click on the middle button. Ive only had it a few weeks and I havent yet had to replace the batteries. Overall its not bad but not a contender for my daily mouse.

Everything about it is great except the scroll wheel has a slight delay to it. The mouse is very small but in a good way. I am surprised how many reviews talk about comfort when discussing a mouse. I guess I just dont use it for as long as some people have to. For me this size is perfectly adequate and will pack that much easier when traveling. It would have been five stars if not for the very slightly sluggish scroll wheel. It might be more important for somebody that is more tied to their computer all day. second opinion: This is an addendum to previous review. I was not happy with the balky scrolling and decided to try a non-blue tooth but wireless mouse that I was using on another computer. the result was the same regardless of how I adjusted the scrolling speed. When I decided to go back to this blue tooth mouse I could never re-connect with the Logitech mouse even though the first time I paired the mouse it was accomplished easily. Based on this I would not buy this product again.
