Edit: removing three stars and cautioning buyers. I still really like the way the keyboard feels, but am having trouble typing on it because the "t" key often does not register when I hit it. At first I thought it might be an issue with the position of the dongle, very near the dongle used for my mouse. But I moved the dongle right next to the keyboard and the problem persists. You never really notice how many times "t" appears in the English language until you cant type it reliably. Like a lot of people, I became very accustomed to using an Apple keyboard and have been looking for a very long time for a keyboard with similar typing feel when I have to use a Windows machine. Im not looking any more - this is it. The keys are slightly more slick, but I am absolutely overjoyed with the typing experience on this keyboard. I would have paid twice as much for it if I had been able to try it first. I wish it had come bundled with a mouse so I dont need more than one dongle for my laptop, but I predict many hours of productive typing on it. I cannot speak to durability, as Ive only had it a week or so, but I can definitely recommend it.

Dont know if its just how I use the keyboard, the keyboard itself, or what, but about 1/5 times that I hit the space key on the far-right (using my right hand thumb), no space character appears. At first I thought maybe I could "retrain" myself to somehow hit it differently (harder? more toward the center of the bar?), but am still encountering the same problem after a few days. Have a similar issue with the far-left Ctrl key too. The key itself is smaller than on my old keyboard but even when I consciously go out of my way to make sure Im pressing it, my computer frequently doesnt believe its being pressed. Its getting really old when Im trying to do a lot of copy-and-paste operations. My gut feeling is that this isnt a defective keyboard—this is just the sensitivity level of the space bar on this keyboard. Not suitable for a developer or other professional that spends all day in front of the computer.

I thought it was great at first - sleek looking - easy set up - comfortable keys But I began to notice that I was making a lot of errors. Was it my typing? Letters weremissing from senteces. Spaces missing. Letters flipped. Im leaving a few erorrs here in the piece to demonstrate what I mean. I think it has to do with the connection of the keys. Somehow they need an extra amount of force to make contact. I thought it was just me but my wife noticed it to. We have to really hammer down to getthe keys to input correctly. I called Amazon and they called the company. But there was no answer. So we just decided to make the return.

When I first got the product on my door, I opened it up and was immediately blown away at how cheap the product felt. The keys clank and are not sturdy. The plastic is just cheap plastic. The "metal" on the side is some sort of thin metal veneer. Overall the keyboard bends and flexes. The receiver is even worse. But I was actually ok with it being cheap feeling. It was only a $25 keyboard, so my expectations were low. But it was far cheaper feeling than I expected. The real problems I have, the reason I had to return it, was because it was incredibly dysfunctional when it comes to the keyboards primary job: typing. First of all, in order for this keyboard to work at all, you will most likely need to use a USB extension cord to move the nano-receiver away from your computer. The antenna in that receiver is almost non-existent, so interference between the computer and the receiver is common. This is a problem with many nano-receivers. Some companies like Logitech have been able to improve significantly in this area to allow for better range and performance, but this cheap product just didnt work unless you used a USB extension cord (not included) to move the receiver away from the main part of your computer. Ok, fine. So now you have the extension cord moved away from the computer, you are ready to type, right? Well yes... sorta. I mean it does technicallly work now. But it just doesnt perform like I am used to. The actual keypresses are delayed by what I would estimate is 100ms-250ms. This is 1/10 - 1/4 of a second. This might not sound like much, but if you are a fast typer, then this will drive you crazy. It isnt significant, but it is noticeable if you type fast. Also if you type fast, I think it is possible to hit some sort of maximum signals per second limit on this keyboard. Because the occasional keystroke will simply fail to send. It doesnt seem to be any key in particular. It is just as you get typing fast, you will occasionally lose a few keystrokes in the process. I would estimate the keystroke loss at about 1 in 30-50 key presses. Again, this might not sound like much, but if you are writing at a good clip this is enough to bother you. This means you are fixing typos in about every 5 words. As I began using this, it just started driving me crazy. I own 3 computers (2 desktops, 1 laptop) that I switch between throughout the day. I tried using this keyboard on different computers and had the same problems no matter which computer I paired it to. In addition, using any of the other keyboards with that computer, and everything was fine. This was when I knew it was the keyboard and not the user or the computer. I also found that this was the loudest of all my keyboards by a significant margin. In the end, I returned this product. It drove me crazy that I was constantly thinking about this keyboard as I type. A good keyboard is something that you dont think about, something that works in the background and is a seamless transition between your body and the computer. This keyboard is fine for those that need a basic keyboard for a basic computer user. For those that "hunt and peck" keys, you are probably not typing fast enough to experience the issues I have experienced. This could be a decent keyboard for an elderly computer user or child. But if you are a writer or a coder and type all day long, at fast speeds, then this keyboard will simply not cut it. I had to return mine, and I am glad I did. There are better keyboards out there. This was a piece of junk.
