I was hoping this would be a full size mouse but compared with two other standard mice I have its about a half inch short and not at tall.

It is what it is. A super basic and cheap mouse to get the job done. If you game at all you will find that the texturized coating on the buttons wears off relatively easily so be careful with that. Otherwise it does exactly what it needs to do. Be a mouse. No issues with the cord, no lag or anything like that. Then again, Im not on some huge gaming rig playing games at 100+FPS. Im on a laptop doing a bit of casual gaming and the rest of it is normal web browsing and typing for work. My game of choice since I have had this mouse is Diablo III a super click-happy game like that is not what this mouse is meant for. Regardless, it still loses a star since the coating wore off in only a couple weeks of use.

Its hard to rise to poetic heights when writing a review of a mouse. You can spend a goodly chunk of change for a Logitech or Apple mouse. Theyre nice to look at, but functionally not really any different. So you just want an optical mouse with left/right buttons and a wheel (which is also a button). This one will do the job. For some time, Amazon has provided a number of products that inhabit the add-on world. These are the things you buy when you purchase a camera (memory cards), a TV (cables) or a computer (mouse/keyboard). These are typically the places where the unwary customer gets nailed with inflated prices. To their credit, Amazon makes these inexpensive alternatives available. They work fine at a fraction of the price. I have no complaints with this mouse, and I really cant tell it apart from others that cost twice as much.

Works great. Ive used all sorts of wireless mice and the best ones were the AmazonBasics $10 to $12 ones. Ive had two of those. One for several years and another for a couple of years for our two computers. Worked great. Using them for a few hours just about every day, the batteries would last sometimes more than 6 months. Suddenly, one of them started eating batteries. Tried lithium, all the good brands, etc.. I could use anything: generic, Rayovac, or Duracell; all with great results -theyd last for months. Anyway, this was the oldest one and I was tired of buying batteries (no, Im not getting batteries to recharge; Ive experienced that nightmare long enough). Anyway, I dont take my laptop anywhere anymore, so I bought this regular corded mouse and I am very happy with it. Oh, for the wireless AmazonBasics mouse that died a slow, agonizing death; I have no complaints, I used it for a few years... much longer than any of the Microsoft or Logitech mice that I had used previously. This mouse is larger and heavier than the ones I’ve used recently. I would prefer smaller and lighter. I measure it at inches 4.25 L x 2.31 W x 1.25 H. The buttons are extremely responsive and operate with very little resistance. The wheel button is especially smooth and easy to depress, probably the smoothest I have used, and this may be the mouse’s biggest plus. Don’t worry about lack of notches, the wheel is plenty grippy. It’s nice not to have to worry about batteries or disconnections. The mouse was agonizingly slow on the Macbook (Yosemite), even with mouse settings at max. I ran across the mouse scaling commands and found the default setting of 3. I worked up the scale from there until I reached the unconventionally large value of 12. It seems about right now. It’s not perfect, but it performs well.

Needed something to replace my aging Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. The old mouse still works great, but the rubberized surface is starting to get a bit tacky. So I wanted another one of those - except they dont make that particular style anymore (there is sort of a replacement, but not hearing good things about it). So I wanted just a inexpensive basic mouse to use while I shopped for something more to my liking. This AmazonBasic had the features I wanted - three-button, wired, & inexpensive - so I got one of these. It works. Its a bit smaller than I like, but it seems to be doing the job. The cord is plenty long enough and since Im just doing basic computer stuff and not video gaming, it more than adequate for my needs. Im satisfied with my purchase.
