After years of replacing batteries in my wireless mouse for a laptop that sits on a desk, I finally got a clue and ordered a wired mouse. No more worries about batteries, no more worrying about turning the mouse off when I stopped working. I love this mouse. Seems adequate material wise. The connecting wire is very long, can go around the laptop if necessary. I have not had it long so I cannot speak to durability, but I have probably saved its cost in batteries already. Gave it 5 stars overall, because I like it. 4 stars for materials because it is only adequate. 1 star for battery because that is NA. 3 stars for durability because I do not know yet so that is neutral.

After buying two Apple mice (?) to use with my MacBook Pro, and having BOTH of them fail miserably ~ for over $60 apiece!! ~ I found this one on Amazon for a mere $7!! I ordered the first one a while back, it connected immediately ~ and until recently (probably after couple of years use at least) I have just started having an issue with it. Sometimes, while scrolling up/down, I find that the wheel does not connect. So...I ordered another one, again for a mere $7 (hear me, Apple?!?) to keep on hand for when the first one finally decides to bite the dust. As of today, I have not had to use this 2nd one, but it sits in my "stash" of equipment, silently awaiting the day when I will find that I need it. The 1st, as I have said, is still scrolling(for the most part) & clicking away, but I know that it will probably give out eventually... Again, 5* stars to a well-made purchase!!!

I read some complaints in the reviews here that the mouse is very small to them. I dont have very big hands, but I expected something abnormally small. This mouse feels just fine to me. I love the feel of it both in the texture its made out of and in the size and shape. Its not a gaming mouse so I dont expect it to be at the same par as one, but honestly it works flawlessly for such a great price and I would go so far to say that you could game with this mouse and have a good time. I am using this mouse right now on my laptop. I did not buy it with the intent to game with it but if my gaming mouse does take a crap I would definitely consider swapping it out with this mouse while I wait for a replacement. Just a really great purchase. I showed it to a friend and he said "wow this is what you get for $6.99 from Amazon? This is better than the mice they buy for us where I work." Hes probably right, its a very solid mouse in all the right ways.

This is a terrific basic mouse at a great price. Im a Mac user and all their mice of late have been troublesome. The Mighty Mouse uses a "touch sensor" for the right click but if your finger isnt in just the right place it wont register. The scroll ball is great for left-right movement but it cant be removed so it cant be cleaned properly. Its also very large and to me fits oddly in the hand. The blue tooth mouse is also troublesome as the touch surface is the entire front end so accidentally stroking it will scroll the window. This mouse corrects all that with physical, tactile buttons and a rubber wheel with soft detents. Its also sized well. I have large hands but the smaller mouse feels easier to use. With good, basic design and a great price I feel like this is a no-brainer for anyone wanting competent functionality!

I bought this mouse back in 2015 and put it through continuous use. The wire finally wore out after enduring almost three years of strain. Im so impressed by its robustness that I just ordered another one. I used it with my laptop and took it with me wherever I went, coiling the wire and stuffing it backpacks and suitcases. Im sure it handled years of being accidentally yanked or falling off of tables without trouble. Pros: - Mouse never lost its accuracy and performance - Smooth handling on flat surfaces - Mouse wheel NEVER lost its ratcheting detents or became too smooth to turn (This is a huge pet-peeve of mine when it comes to mice) - Mouse buttons never lost their mechanical resiliency (aka always clicked when you pressed them, never became stuck, loose, or droopy) - The top of the mouse retained its frictional surface, making it easy to grip - The mouse body material never chipped or cracked despite being roughly handled or dropped from reasonable heights - The rubber "feet" of the mouse NEVER peeled off (another huge pet-peeve). This is one of the biggest problem with other mice—the rubber "feet" peel off and the mouse loses its smooth handling on surfaces; it begins to scrape, not slide. This never happened with this mouse. Cons: - (Minor) The mouse is coated in a frictional veneer that peeled away in places that were in constant contact with my hand. This is not a big deal unless you find slight wear on the mouse unsightly. It did not affect performance. - The biggest issue with this mouse is that its just too small for my hands. Ive worked around it over the years, but I still wish Amazon would make a slightly larger model. I have had to shorten my hand by pulling in my fingers from an extended position to a tighter grip. But this occasionally causes me to inadvertently click buttons when I dont want to because more finger-weight is resting on the buttons. This is the biggest irritation but when compared to the durability of the mouse and the fact that NO part of it failed for almost three years of abuse, its one I can live with. Bottom line: DURABLE, accurate mouse, but slightly smaller-than-average.
