This camera has been glitchy from day one but we persisted. Now it has taken to draining fully charged batteries within hours, when the camera is not even turned on. This model seems to be on every "best point and shoot" list so perhaps we got a lemon, but I have to say that most of the pics we did get when it wasnt bugging out on us were only marginally better than those with an iPhone 6... Disappointed in pretty much every way with this purchase.

I am writing this review after using it for more than 2 years. Its a great camera and this really should be a 5 star review, but I am playing devils advocate and would like to give people a warning about a design defect that will eventually show up after the warranty expires. To send it for the repair, you would need to spend $300-$500. The error message you will be receiving is "Turn the power off and then on", and the lens wont retract completely. At that point the camera is not usable until you fix it. There are some workaround but it cannot be easily fixed. It is a great camera but unfortunately has a poor reliability due to the design defect.

I am trying to return this. It is not a simply point and shoot camera. If auto is selected, true colors are not captured. The worst part is the only way to view the images is to download Sonys program. This program does not download or work on any of my laptops, so why have a camera? I cant keep all the photos on the camera. Battery lasts for about 2 hours if left on. A cheaper, non-Sony camera is better. And I hate to admit that because Sony was my favorite for electronics.
