UPDATE been trying to use this camera for a couple months and have yet to figure out how to take a single picture that is not grainy, out of focus or dimly lit. this camera’s processor sucks and the optical zoom is crap too. worst purchase i ever made on amazon. lots and lots of features. it’s easy to fall down a settings hole and not be able to climb back out. the little case, tripod and LED light that came with it are crap but the SD card and the extra rechargeable battery and charger are nice though. the gumby-tripod in particular is a real POS. it’s also pretty sweet that you can use a phone app to control the camera remotely. cool feature they should talk up. i ended up getting a carry case and not-so-half-assed tripod so my total cost was more than i would’ve liked to spend.

Great camera and awesome zoom lens. I have a earlier model Lumix and have taken that camera around the world. When I saw this newer model and the 30x telephoto, this has saved me from having to bring along my larger DSLR (for the better lenses). Although this is a bit bigger and heavier than my old Lumix, it is just as easy to use and has much better resolution and of course the 30x zoom. Focus Camera put together an awesome package deal that really could not be beat. Everything arrived in good condition and I could not be happier with this purchase from them.

Im going on a trip next month and, rather than lug my bulky DSLR and multiple lenses around, I decided to order a compact point and shoot instead. I wanted something that would do most of the work for me but I could also manual focus if I wanted. I ordered early so I could spend some time with it before I left. So glad I did. I have used SLRs and then DSLRs, Canon, Nikon, Minolta and Sony. This Panasonic is AWFUL!! I bought this one specifically for the viewfinder and focus ring. Both are unuseable. Even using AF is only a 50/50 chance of getting a photo in focus and the scene shots dont come out right either. After a couple of days and not changing the settings, the camera now zooms in super close in to whatever Im trying to shoot when I push the shutter button!?!?! Panasonic guides and online help are also worthless. Glad I ordered early and through Amazon. This is going back.

This camera has an excellent lens. Being able to zoom to paintings,statues, churches inside and out -coliseum and group photos made the zoom a very good feature. We took it on a trip to Rome and other places in Italy and took some 300 pictures. They were all in good focus and clear vibrant colors. The battery life was better than expected,,they would last all day of shooting - I always carried spares. Several time I had to use the built in Electronic Viewfinder. It was a must feature for my purchase. There are times when a cell phone is just as good and convenient.. It sure would have been awkward to carry an SLR type for this trip. Never could use the flash in all settings in the churches. All taken with auto. Be sure to practice with any camera before a trip. The eagle photo was on my place at 150 yards, then I cropped.

My husband surprised me with this camera as a gift and I took it out of the country to use before submitting a review. HUGE MISTAKE! Of course, by the time we came back it was too late to return and so were stuck with a $300+ piece of useless metal and plastic. It only takes moving pictures even when in the iA mode (which is supposed to be the intelligence mode, point-shoot). I am so disappointed, we went on a family vacation and I came back with wonderful smartphone videos and pictures and basically useless Panasonic LUMIX pictures. I feel worst for my husband who is retired and funds arent flowing, each time he sees the camera he sees wasted dollars(sorry Honey). My suggestion, go to Amazon and buy an inexpensive point-shoot or just use your smartphone,

Great deal on this camera package that includes lots of extras. I recently used the camera in a Disney vacation and it’s a very compact, yet sturdy camera. I didn’t use the case because it is too small if you will be using it often. The shots look crisp and clear on the camera. I haven’t printed yet so not sure about overall quality.

Not too big, good quality photos, lots of zoom range, and the convenience of wireless photo uploads makes this the perfect gift for the person who loves to have a camera on hand nearly all the time but wants better quality photos than an iPhone.
