Not impressed. I wanted to use a normal camera and not my iphone around my car shop. I can not get it to focus on anything closer then 2 feet. I wouldnt think that is too close to be trying to focus on. It will auto focus and I can tell it is focus then it will lock in and go out of focus every time and take an out of focus photo. I use this for my shop camera and wanted to take photos of vehicle VIN tags inside the driver door and or the mileage display in the dash. Im not impressed with the camera in low light and needing to flash in sun light photos. I had high hopes for this Kodak FZ53 5X camera and it has let me down after about 1,000 photos. Overall I wish I would have returned it right away and tried another somewhat cheap camera before going to one around $100-$175 (hoping that it will work as god as any on my cell phone cameras have that is).

This camera is perfect for my needs. Great photos and video. Very compact. The only improvement I would make would be a higher volume for videos. Sound comes through great when downloaded but very low while viewing playback from the camera. Would recommend.

This was replacing an older model of this camera, so I expected it to provide good service and produce excellent photos. What I did not expect was that the only instructions included were very unsatisfactory cursory instructions on how to set up the camera. I had to go online to find the full instructions, then print them off. I know this is quite the current style, but it is annoying to say the least. Also, the camera has the disturbing habit of slipping into video mode for no apparent reason. Other than that, I like it and it does produce good photos.

Bought this camera as a gift for boyfriend. Weve only had the camera for a few days. Very easy to use, light weight, fits into a shirt pocket well. It is somewhat small for his hands. The on/off button is small, so that is a little difficult to manage. I was glad to see there was a adapter for the USB with the charger so it can plug into the wall when needed. I think we will enjoy this one. Thanks!

Yes! Works exactly as described. Simple use and the only drawback is you have to USB charge it. Thats not a problem for me but on travel, not as easy as having a few extra AA batteries in my purse.

Having control of EV (+/- 2) means I can dial in the best exposure. Attached picture is moonlight in backyard, using time exposure. Havent tried panorama yet, but looks interesting. Small enough to fit in shirt/jacket pocket.

camara is ok. pictures could be clearer and more crisp, feels like lighting has a big impact in how well your pictures come out. the sound when playing video is almost non existent. when transferring videos to my laptop i was unable to view without issues due to the incompatibility with the .mov format. When the file is converted to mp4 the video was playable. price isnt bad, but you kind of get what you pay for here. would not doubt there being better options available.

Since I had an earlier model Kodak camera before, it was easy for me to adapt to this one. I also like the fact that it came with a rechargeable battery, since my earlier camera required battery change outs. I am an occasional camera user, and do not take professional photos, so this camera is very suitable for me.
