This camera is awesome. Takes wonderful pictures, even in low light. You are able to download an app so that you can take a picture by hitting the button on your phone, and you can even see what your camera sees on your iPhone. Totally coool!
This is my second one because i love this camera. (The first was destroyed in a torrential rain storm on Jekyll island). Its easy to use which is important to me...Im not into gadget tech stuff,in fact i loathe that junk. I appreciate that this camera doesnt require too many steps for any action. Ive dropped many many times and its still perfect. I love how easy it is to transfer to my phone for Instagram (that as my main goal). Sometimes i have to climb, or run...so its important to me to be able to shove it into a pocket. Granted i would love to have more control over shutter time,but this is a fantastic camera thats allowed me to take pictures that people have commented on their professional look.
This is a really good camera for the price point. I am not a novice but needed a camera to just carry around. Everything about this camera is unexpectedly high quality.

Just what wanted.It replaces my S210 but with more features. The palm size that I love for tavelling a higher magnification. Great price.
Compact and easy to use. Battery was charged out if the box so you can start using it right away.
Takes great low light pictures. Very easy to use. Pocket size means I can take it anywhere I would take a phone. This takes much better pictures than my phone. The WiFi is complicated to use, but a nice feature anyway.
What a awesome compact camera. Have not used a camera in years. My last camera was a cool pix hated it to small of buttons and very user unfriendly. This Canon SX610 HS was exactly what I was looking for, with easy functions to navigate with. Being a novice at cameras this little baby is easy to use. Played around with it for a couple of hours and had a blast. It takes great pictures close or far away ( a nice zoom ) videos and the self-timer is a great feature. All pros no cons for this camera. Just read the guide play around with it, just go back to functions and menu if you have a problem you cant hurt it. I bike, hike, kayak, camp and fish and plan on using this camera for all my adventures. I plan on taking great pictures and videos and look forward to giving up dates as I go along. My 6th Cannon in this size. I need to say I am hard on cameras. Dropped one 3 decks in the USS Carolina ( a battleship). The maintenance guy found all the pieces and it worked immediately on restart. You cant beat the pics, movies, sound, macro clarity, user friendliness etc.... I have recommended this camera to many others and all are happy. My friends expound about their non Cannon cameras capabilities and take pictures at concerts from the back row. I show them the Cannons capability and they go buy a Cannon. All it lacks in underwater capability.
I bought this for my 11 year old son that wanted a much more expensive model, but being 11 I wanted to maintain a reasonable budget, this has turned out to be a great option and he loves it.
