First, let me state that I love Canon cameras! I purchased this to replace the Canon 500SX Powershot I had before. The kit includes several accessories, but Im not sure they are a true value-add: - The car charger is a nice add, but note that it takes a very long time to charge the battery with it. - The large tri-pod is very flimsy. A good breeze will knock it over (which happened to me when I used it for the first time). - The mini tri-pod is VERY mini. See photo. Not sure how it would be useful. Positive notes: - This camera takes exquisite macro photos. - The zoom on this camera is amazing. - Its a good point and shoot camera that has lots of options for manual settings. - The case is nice. It includes a zipper pouch for extra batteries/SD cards. This is heavier than its predecessor, but it also has more features. One side note: If you are looking for a good camera for taking sweeping landscape photos, this may not be the camera for you. If, however, youre looking for a camera that takes great close-ups and you like a good zoom with easy-to-use settings, this could be right up your alley.

This is a great little camera, and Im glad I bought it. There are a few things I dont like, but thats because Im particular about what I use. I have big hands, but it still fits well into my palm--very comfortable to hold. The auto option is excellent; the camera really adjusts to what is going on with what youre doing. My main complaints are that there is no view finder, and the indoor shots are too dim--unless you bump up the ISO, but that leaves the photo grainy. Other than that, its a good product.

Its one of the best package deals I have gotten. The battery life is short however (2) batteries were included in the deal. The zoom factor for close object photography is a bit blurry. Im not sure if its my lacking experience in changing the cameras functions.
