I guess you get what you pay for really. The picture quality on this camera is worse than my older phone. It obviously is better at zooming since its dedicated to that. But for $200 I was expecting at least as good as my phone. (which was a lot less when I bought it) But I mostly bought this camera for video and the video isnt as nice as my phone either. Which is just annoying. So Im returning it. No sense in wasting money on this when I already have a better one with me anyway. Also it just kinda feels cheap too. Its like its mostly plastic. If you want a really good dedicated camera I suggest something $500+ otherwise you probably have a better one on your phone.

Love the many features it has, especially the creative shot that applies different filters to your shot. My only problem was that I photograph the morning sunrise from the beach. Have many cameras so I know I have to clean the camera every time I use it. I used this camera three times and on the fourth time the lens cover wouldnt open all the way. Could touch it to make it go back but sometimes it fell into the picture range. Returned it today for a full refund and will order another in hopes that it was just a fluke with the one I initially received. Just shipped it back today for a full refund and will purchase it one more time in hopes for better results. Also, the battery dies quickly, especially when you use zoom and creative shots so highly recommend you buy spare batteries. Hopefully my next review when I order the new one will be 5 stars.

This camera basically works just like my previous one, except that it has higher resolution (20 mexapixel vs 16). I love my Canon cameras; they are simple to use, but have the manual adjustments when needed.

The Canon charger that came with the camera didnt work. Put the battery in, plugged it in to the ac outlet and the amber charging light would light for about a half a second and go out. Come on Canon!!!! Ordered a different brand charger that has rave reviews. Cant do anything till I get the batteries charged. Once I get the new charger and get the batteries charged Ill update my review on how the camera performs. Update: Very happy with camera. Takes great pictures and video. Set up was a bit of a hassle but after that, it was great. Wasnt happy to learn that because of all the bad publicity about Facebook and privacy, canon is not allowing pictures you take with their cameras to be posted to Facebook via Wi-Fi. Would of given it 5 stars but because of the charger issue and Canons obvious spotty quality control, I gave it 4 stars.

So cool that if you are on wifi you can send photos from your camera to your cell phone!

Took this camera for the first time out on the trail this past weekend under partly sunny / partly cloudy skies and it took really good photos. I had all settings on automatic. My only concern is the cover for the battery/chip compartment. It seems real flakey, like you need to be real careful opening and closing this cover each time because it seems like a cheap piece of plastic that could easily break and snap off - my ELPH 160 did not have this issue. Otherwise I am happy with this camera purchase.

This is a good camera. Took it on a trip and used it in addition to my camera phone. The accessories that came with it we’re OK but not all are needed. And the screen protector that came with the camera was useless. I could not get it trimmed to the right size, it was difficult to apply to the screen, and I finally gave up. I ended up ordering a separate screen protector already cut to the size for this camera. The camera pictures are OK but not terrific. I got it mainly for the zoom and that worked just fine.

I had an older Cannon Elph and it died after many years. So I decided to buy an updated version. I love it and it is easy to sue. Small enough to fit in your pocket with a larger vision screen to focus the shot. Older camera uploaded my pics to my hard drive via a USB connector between the computer and the camera. New camera comes with a USH finger drive you plug into the USB port that you insert the memory card in. Fast and easy also. I would recommend this camera package to any user like me who is not a pro but just wants to take simple shots/pics and keep them on their computer for emails etc.

Great product. I ordered this with hesitation cuz it was too good to be true. It was the same price as other cameras the same model was. But without the accessories. Sure enough everything is perfect. My 12 year old loves it. And all the small thing just adds to the excitement.
