I choose this over the Sigma 12-24 Art for a couple of things: first it has a 2.8 continuous aperture, and second I can use it with the Lee SW150 filter holder in all of its focal length extension (12 to 24mm will start to vignette under 14mm). This is a really fast lens, super sharp and with very little noticeable distortion. And sharp (or even sharper) as the Nikon version that cost like 600 bucks more. That was the main reason I choose this one over the Nikon version. I must say I am not disappointed with the results. At all!

I debated for over a year on whether or not to get this lens. I am so happy that I finally bought it. I actually ordered it thinking ..... "I can send it back if I dont like it". The lens is heavy as everyone says ... but I used to carrying a 500m lens around regularly so its no big deal. Images are sharp, the lens works well even in low light. I see no distortion in the corners ..... Awesome!

Amazing lens! My copy is sharp as tack throughout. Incredibly well-made although a bit heavy. Great for astrophotography as well. Highly recommended.

I upgraded from a 14mm Rokinon manual lens. That lens was surprisingly good, but not what I wanted for a trip to Chile. This lens is amazing. I was able to get great landscape and Milky Way photos, as well as creative close ups. The focusing is quick and accurate. The lens build is amazing (as are all Sigma art lenses). The zoom is smooth. But best of all, the images pop. They are highly detailed with accurate colors and little distortion. Good contrast, which is one thing my previous super wide lacked. I would say these images are sharper than some Canon L lenses that I have used. The only thing I don’t like is how loose the pull over lens hood is. While hiking, it falls off a lot. To the point that it went in the backpack and thus wasn’t protecting the lens as the camera was over my shoulder.

I like it. It works fine on a Nikon Z7. Pictures are great. It is rather heavy. And I found that with a large sensor, I could crop the 14mm image to get to a 20ishmm picture just fine (unless I want to print of course). I mean that going from 14mm to 24mm is not a very large range. I do not know if the technology could be pushed to a 14-35/f2.8 one day. That would be nice.

This lens can be considered the Nikon 14-24 f/2.8 VRII, because its an improvement of the famous 14-24. Its very sharp. Built great. Fast AF. Great distortion, coma, and vignetting control. Its heavy, but its great overall.

Absolutely amazing lens. Unfortunately I’ll no longer need it for what I bought it for so I returned it but wish I still had a use for it because it’s a stunning beast of a lens.

This lens is awesome for real estate photography...nice piece of "glass" as they say. It certainly upd my game in tight spaces. Love it!

Lens is very sharp and very fast.

Make sure this fits by entering your model number. For the Art line SIGMA began development simultaneously of two ultra-wide-angle lenses offering the key focal length of 14mm one prime and one zoom. enhances the corrective effect of the FLD and SLD glass.
