As per standard knowledge, the Canon 50mm f1.8 is known as the super-sharp, nifty-fifty. For the price, it lives up to everything it is known for and more. I love this lens! Sharp focus and beautiful bokeh at f/1.8. Its small and light, but a quality piece of glass thats on my camera every day. The filters included, while not the highest quality, are adequate, affordable and a nice initial bonus since none of my other filters fit this lens. Be aware that if your camera has a crop sensor, this 50mm lens will be closer to 80mm. If you want to get closer to a true 50mm, consider buying a 35mm lens, but brace yourself for sticker shock!

Bokeh-lishous. I am an amateur photographer just geting bck into taking pictures and new into digital. This is my first prime lens since I had a film camera 20 years ago. I dont think my prime was this fast even then! I use this EF lens on my APS-C T6i so the effective focal length is 80mm, perfect for portraits. If you have an APS-C camera (Canon Tx or 7D) and youre looking for a lens between your two zooms, this one is a great choice.

Prime lens is crystal clear and very fast for action and low light photos. Getting the kit with filters and the filter case was a nice bonus. Use this lens often and always pleased with results. f1.8 is a great aperture opening that you cant get at a more affordable price point. Happy with it.

Great deal on this 50mm lens! The quality of the pictures are excellent, especially with the shallow depth of field this lens provides. Genuine Canon lens, fit on my Rebel SL2 just fine. I didn’t really use the other items in this package. Would have liked an ND filter instead. Other than that, I’m happy with this lens!
