I have a Beauty Channel and I have tried 2 other brands of ring lights and they did not get the job done. When I came across this ZOMEI ring light I decided to give it a try since I was unhappy with my current one. My videos that I film for my beauty channel went up in quality x10! It really changed so much because it is so bright but also dimmable. I love the sturdiness and I never have to worry about it falling over. It can be on a tabletop or stood up tall on the ground. No need to look further...this ringlight is amazing!!!

Install Flash Player I love how easy this ring light is to assemble. The manual is clear and direct. Case and phone adapter are included. I see many complaints about the stand not being sturdy, but I don’t see a problem. This ring light is perfect for YouTube videos and even for an everyday photo shoot. I prefer this over the newer ring light especially for the price.

This ring light surpasses the price. I had been looking for a ring light for videos and photos and this was an amazing find. Under $100 I was not expecting much to be honest but when I recieved it I was shook!!! It’s super easy to assemble, no screws or power tools needed. You can choose to have either natural light (daylight) or white light, plus the brightness. It also comes with a bag which is amazing specially for vlogging and photography. It comes with 3 levels of highet so that’s a plus. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a good quaility ring light for under $100.

As a full time parent and only can take instagram pictures at night, with normal yellowish light we were always struggling with shadows and color. Finally I was able to invest a ring light and the pictures look great. The light is so bright enough that looks like I was taking a picture in daylight. Also, it comes with a bag to keep ring light except your tripod which I wish they could make a bag a bit bigger to fit everything. The tripod is adjustable and solid. Hopefully the seller will make some adjustments but I have no complaints of the price.

This is my first ring light and I’m very pleased with the quality! It was easy to assemble and I used it right away to light and record a couple of YouTube videos! I love that it came with a phone holder and is dimmable too! I also used it for some selfie photos for my YouTube thumbnails, and I’m looking forward to continued use! Thumbs up and highly recommend!

I wasnt expecting much for the price, but this really isnt bad at all. It feels a little flimsy so time will tell, but it comes with everything you need (other than the smartphone!) and it all goes in a nice case, too. Except the light stand… Im not sure that actually fits in the case. That said the light stand is the cheapest part of it and I think Ill use a different one. The light itself is quite bright, and at max brightness indoors its almost too bright, so thats awesome. It comes with a CTO (orange) ring for matching tungsten light, which I dont know where youd really need something that temp, but its there if you need it (or want to pretend youre shooting at sunset!). The light isnt pure in color (it doesnt have a high CRI) but thats no surprise for a cheap LED. If you are using a smartphone, itll adjust the WB just fine. If youre using a proper camera, auto WB will work but you can do a custom WB and totally negate the color shift. Again conclusion is its a good value. You can spend a lot more and get little extra, so if youre in the market for a simple ring light LED for selfie or youtube videos, give it a shot!

If you are looking for a ring light, this is it. It comes with everything you need, and it has a removable center mount post for a cell phone. My only real complaint about this kit is the light stand. It has a thread on the top of the post (see photo) so the light cannot sit flush on the stand. This makes the light a little wobbly, and also makes it lean a little forward on the stand. This is easily correctable with the adjustment on the light itself. But a flat top post works much better. Other than that, I dig this set up. it comes with a bag, cell phone mounts, stand, filter, its dimmable and it comes with a bag to carry it all in! Ive passed on several ring lights in the past because the price was high, and the kit was small. but this pretty much has you covered to get to shooting or filming right out of the box!

Revision: Initially I thought the iphone holder screwed my phone in sideways- then I realized that this manufacturer included a piece with a ballbearing that allows you to screw the iphone holder TO the ball bearing piece TO the ring- and this allows you to adjust your phone perfectly to where you want it. This ballbearing item was not in the instructions manual because the provider added it themselves so that we could use the phone adapter. I am thankful for that. I did have some issues with the stand initially, because the stand is made for many uses besides just the ring light. The light does not sit snuggly on top of the stand at first. You must hold the light upright, and tighten the screw against the metal to hold it into place. I have spoken with the developers, and their customer service was exceptional. They listened closely to my concerns and the woman I spoke with had many solutions and ideas; I believe the product team will develop ways to improve the light and the stand connections. I look forward to their improvements and developments, so I think this company has a lot of potential. Currently I am satisfied with my ring light and it is securing to the stand well enough. I would like to try more of their products.

UPDATE: ZOMEi reached out to me to replace the stand with a heavier duty version that comes standard now. The customer service was enough to nudge my 3-star to a 4-star rating. ——————— I make YouTube videos and manage social media accounts, so a solid, minimalistic lighting and camera setup is imperative to me. Ive been using the 18" kit from Neewer for a while now, but I thought Id take a chance on this smaller kit. Heres what I found: PROS [+] Includes everything needed to make a good video setup (except for a camera) [+] Produces a spotty, shallow light that can be good for product reviews and B-roll footage [+] Aluminum dimmer switch is a nice feature CONS [-] Color casts rather blue (as shown in attached photo). - This can be corrected in the camera or by editing, but having a true color light would be better [-] White diffuser is not removable, so the tungsten filter cant be used at its fullest output potential [-] Quality control isnt there yet - my stand arrived with a broken leg [-] Not great for vlogging/talking head footage At a price point thats only $6 cheaper than their direct competitors who have a longer history of product development, its hard to justify spending $90 on this kit. This isnt built to the same standards as their competitors, but theyre pricing it nearly the same. I went in hoping for the best, but now I feel a little tricked. Hope to see the company make improvements with time!

When placing your DSLR camera in the ring light via hot shoe connection I have zero problems. However, when I want to extend my shotgun microphone onto a boom stand (for shooting 5-7 feet from the camera) I get his terrible buzzing sound with my audio. Im using a 6 male/female 3.5mm extension wire (not cheap) to do this. The buzzing sound gets more intense when you turn the ring light up to maximum intensity. Im doing my best to troubleshoot this but it has not eliminated the issue. Ive looked for wires that might be in contact with each other and things like that but I cant pinpoint the problem. Maybe LEDS produce a frequency that causes this issue with microphones. I may just return this because Im definitely not happy right now! The lighting itself IS efficient and doesnt cause any issues when youre recording audio straight from the camera. Camera audio is not the best so thats why I use a separate microphone.
