First off for most cameras these do NOT do Through the Lens Metering (TTLM). This means they do not automatically adjust in power to ensure proper exposure, you have to set them yourselves. Take either test shots, or use a light meter to figure out the flash setting. TTLM while nice, isnt a necessity, and for 95% of your lighting setups its going to be useless anyway. If you are looking for a flash to supplement/replace your on camera flash, and youre not using a multi-light setup etc (in other words you basically just want your pictures to be brighter!) then this is probably not a great flash. It can certainly be used that way, but it doesnt offer the point and shoot simplicity other flashes do. Get a flash specific for your camera body that features TTLM, set it up and dont worry about it again. If you want a rugged reliable workhorse flash with a ton of great features like remote activation via the built in radio receivers and transmitters, with multiple groups and remote power level setting, these are awesome. If youre good with not using TTLM then these are solid gold for a price of not much more than a couple sets of good batteries. If you want to learn lighting these are great as well, as its all on you to create your image the way you want it to. Highly, highly, recommend.

I cant say enough good things about the YN560 flashes. I have been using them since the very first model came out. Now I have read many reviews about flashes either miss firing or just craping out. I would like to state I am a pro photographer and have used many different triggering systems and flashes and to me this is the best bang for the buck. Now keeping that in mind I do buy 4 new flashes every other year and keep 2 spares in my bag at all times. So far (knock on wood) I have not had a single one crap out and have had them on stands that have fallen and other things have broken but the flashes still go on!

I got this because I needed light, not debt. I use this 560 with another Yongnuo flash, and I connect them remotely with their built-in WiFi components. Great for indoors with ceilings below 10’ to bounce this light nicely (more speedlights, slightly higher clearance tolerated). I went back and forth on which new-brand speedlights to buy and decided that Yongnuo was smart because their remote triggers are so reasonable and the speedlights have many strong features for the price. If Yongnuo can build and maintain strong customer service with North America (I haven’t had to communicate with them because my equipment is working great), this could be a great company to follow.

I bought 2 of these speedlights on the recommendation of Nathan Cool for real estate shoots. Along with Cactus triggers and Amazon light stands, they are just perfect. On or off my Sony A7RIII, great performance!

This is my third Yongnuo flash, bought it to replace one that I had left the batteries in. These flashes are a great alternative to the more expensive Canon or Nikon flashes.

Works really well so far! I have 2 flashes and the radio frequency signal and it is awesome for my real estate shoots! Buy some rechargeable batteries and you will be good to go!
