As a professional commercial photographer, I was skeptical about using anything other than my Nikon flashes for professional work, but I needed something lightweight I could take to pro-bono shoots (publicity photos for a local theatre company) that I could set up quickly and control the output remotely. I started out with 2 YN560-IIIs and they performed beautifully with the 603 triggers. Next I bought a YN560-TX and my life got instantly better. I no longer had to run around to each flash and dial in the power setting - I could just do it from camera. Now I use the Yongnuos as my go-to flashes - even for pro work. I still have my nikons for when I need TTL (I rarely use TTL - only for event photography) and my large studio strobes for when the job calls for them, but the Yongnuos are the first ones I set up 90% of the time. In fact, Im strongly considering trading in my old Calumet Travelites for a set of strobes where I can adjust the power wirelessly like I can with the Yongnuos. I will say that in the photography world, more often than not you get what you pay for, but these flashes are the exception to the rule. They are not perfect by any means, but with some TLC and some time spent deciphering the instructions, these flashes perform very well.

Great product! Huge improvement from the flashlight YN468, but it has been not one contact, no any adjustments from the camera - only manual
