I bought two of these flashes recently. It was the week before a big wedding gig and my canon flash took a dump. I borrowed two more of the exact flash from a fellow photographer friend. The venue we were shooting was extremely low light, even during the day (eek!). But I had these lights mounted in three corners, with the 4th on my camera. My FAVORITE thing about these flashes is that one flash can be used to control the others. Its not only a money saver, but its VERY convenient. I shot for 10 hours with the flash mounted on my camera, and for at least 4 with the remaining lights. I only had to change the batteries once or twice throughout the event. My ONLY complaint about these flashes is that one of them got REALLY hot. Im talking, depths-of-hell, melt-the-batteries (literally) hot. The indicator light warned me of the heat and the flash shut itself off. When I went to remove the batteries, they burned the ever-loving hell out of my hand. Obviously, that flash got put in time-out to cool off. Once it cooled, I replaced the batteries and it was fine for the remainder of the shoot. It hasnt happened since then, but Ive not put it through the rigors of another 10 hour day either. I probably should have returned that particular flash but its a little too late. Of the four I had going, only one became a Hades-level inferno. The remaining 3 worked like a charm and kept their cool. I definitely recommend this flash, even above the Canon speedlite that I have. It seems much more straightforward, easier to use and the trigger function is FABULOUS; just watch your hands if the flash gets hot. ;)

Being the amateur photographer that I am, I couldnt get myself to spend hundreds of dollars on a flash, especially knowing that flash is something I will use only once in awhile. So I looked around and finally settled on YN-560 IV and I was more than pleased with it. This flash with its diffuser worked perfectly for my Sony A7s and the recharge time was quick enough for me. Even though its manual and doesnt have TTL, I like the fact that it has all sorts of different functions that will make this the must-have flash for your photography gears. A few downside that knocked off one star for me were: - Ive had the hardest time on taking out the build-in diffuser. Thank goodness for the other diffuser that comes with it... - When the diffuser is attached to the flash, it wont fit into the nice case that comes with it -- itll slightly be taller so you wont be able to close the top. I would think that if Yongnuo is selling the two in a package, it would have enough space for it but sadly it doesnt. Overall, Id highly suggest this flash to any amateur AND professional photographers!

took some time getting used to this flash but it works well after you learn it. The flash is more along the cool side on the kelvin scale so you may want to gel your flash if youre using this in a venue with warmer lighting or even outside so your flash doesnt throw off natural light color. On 1/1 its strong and on its lowest 1/128 its really not that strong (this is a given but depending on what youre going for its really not pumping much light even as a fill) in my opinion and ive done tests in my house at night. I would get another flash from them if Im on a budget but after renting a nikon brand (SB-910) and seeing the value of the flash and quality Im eventually going to try and move to brand flashes

If your looking for TTL then this flash is not for you. This flash Is all manual settings witch is what most the pros use when doing protriat or modeling. Works great for catalog photography and other things. I am using it for off camera flash and found out one is not enough so ended up getting a second one. A bit of a learning curve to get the lighting correct. With all that the flash works great so far. Recycling time depends on the power output setting. Zoom works and has a pull out lens to spread the ligh. Basically gives you full control of your lighting and ability to create. For less that a 100 bucks it is worth it

Works like a charm. This product is my first ever flash and I love it. The only problem about it, or maybe its just my lack of experience with flashes but i feel like the battery drains a little too fast.
