WOW. This is worth it. I got this and 4 yn560iii to shoot a wedding. One of the flashes crapped out on me but I had a back up. With this I could control all 4 flashes and because they where so high on light stands it made it very nice to be able to do it remotely. My assistat had a 603 trigger on his camera and we both could trigger the flashes furring the reception. I shoot the flashes in a studio and they are always hurried inside the soft odds so being able to control them remotely makes life so much better. It can be tricky getting everything working (I had to resort to YouTube) but once I got it working never any problems. Good investment, inexpensive, and works.

I use this with a trio of Yongnuo 560IV flash units, and its pretty much perfection for a manual strobist. The unit is lightweight, but the buttons have a good feel and the display is crisp and bright. The interface is simple and intuitive, easy to be up and running in no time. I use this setup for portraits and head shots, its been a 100% reliable location kit for over 20 sessions. The 560 system lacks AF assist lamps, HSS, or TTL, but stays in my kit because its reliable and cheap and I can take the same pictures without them. If I ever lost my lighting bag, I could replace the whole kit for less than the price of a single flash unit from the bigger brands (and I would, in a heartbeat).

I got this for my Sony A7II to use with the YongNou YN560-TX III. This review is simple. I slid it into the hot shoe. And after following the very simple instructions, was remote triggering the flash. It worked perfectly and was under $50. Considering that I only paid $70 for the flash, both of them were less then the cost of most good flash triggers. Yongnou is worth the purchase. At $120, you have a great flash and trigger. If they break you are still less then $350 below the cost of a good canon or nikon flash. Dont debate this purchase. Buy it and you will be thrilled with its results.

Works on my Sony A6000. Directions are not great- would be helpful if better translated. You set the trigger to match the channel of your flashes, then run a function on the trigger and hit the center button on the flash. This activates the group functionality on the YN-560III. 6 groups! Photo shows A-C, but there is another page. What a wonderful system! I can see there are more YN-560III/IV units in my future.

The good news is - we have a strobist dream come true here: remote (manual) radio control of flash power and zoom! Kudos to Yongnuo for understanding the need. This transmitter and complementary set of flashes (I have three!) costs less than a single TTL flash from a premium brand. Fantastic! And it is camera vendor neutral - I use it with Nikon D600 and Panasonic GH3! Here is a problem. The pins are sticking way too far from the transmitter - I bought two and both transmitters have this problem. Therefore I have to use a knife to gently press pins into the body of the transmitter while sliding it into the cameras hot shoe. Oh, and it is really tight on GH3. Works like a charm though!

I use this with 3 Yongnuo 560IIIn speedlights mounted in soft boxes, along with my Fuji X-T1. Super easy to use, and to adjust each speed lights power setting remotely. Used it on a couple of shoots so far. It works great...eliminates the need for remote triggers! I just take the 560-TX off the camera and carry it with me when metering the subject. Simply position your flash meter, fire the "test" button, and youve got your reading. Then head back to the camera, put the remote back on the camera hot shoe and Im all ready to shoot. The only tricky thing is syncing the 560-TX to the speedlights. See Dan Solomons video for help on syncing the flash units to this transmitter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jstC9p508Io

I bought this by mistake because I wanted the version that works with Nikon cameras. This one still worked, but I have sent it back to get the correct version as the fit for the pins on the hot shoe is better. Nevertheless, as far as the product is concerned, I would make the same comments as for the Nikon version that I have now. Review follows: Although the instructions are not the easiest to follow, I still gave this 5 stars because the product is so good. It can handle up to 6 slave units with radio triggers as well as others with the optical flashes. The ability to adjust the power and zoom directly from the transmitter, rather than having to go to each flash unit and change the settings there makes a huge difference. Even if you only use one additional flash unit this is worthwhile because of the flexibility of placing the flash unit to its best advantage. For ideas on usage, read the Strobist blog or Scott Hargis book "Lighting Interiors". I use my flashes primarily for real estate photography and they make a big difference in the results achieved.

Recently bought it just to try it out. Works like a charm. Just remember to set the group setting on your Yongnuo 560 III or it wont fire. The trick is to hold the zoom/check and Hz/FN down at the same time on the trigger. This will cause your flash to recognize the trigger and allow you to set the group on your flash. You will notice all of your screen light up on the flash when you do this. When you see that, hit the center ok button on the flash and you will turn on the group setting on your flash. Happy shooting. 4 stars simply for the confusion of turning the groups on in the begining.

I am in love with OCF again and its all because of this little device. I save so much time and can focus on the shots I want instead of constantly running to adjust my lights during a wedding. When you get to a reception site and have less than 2 minutes to beat the bride to her entrance, you dont have time to worry about adjusting settings and running to the other side of the room to do a test shot and then run all the way back to change settings on the flash unit. With this device you can set up your lights, run across the room and take three shots and adjust from your location all the settings for all of your flashes and be ready to go! It is absolutely life changing! Pro Wedding Photog for 9 years, and Ive used this new setup with three different weddings since Ive purchased. My 2nd shooters are jealous!

I gave this 5 stars, but my experience with my FIRST transmitter was less than stellar. I purchased this transmitter along with several Yongnuo YN560-III speed lights that have the integrated receiver. They work together and allow you to manually control the output of the speed lights remotely. The first transmitter I received would NOT fit in ANY of my cameras hot shoe the way it was SUPPOSED to fit (I have a Nikon D600, a Nikon D7000, a Nikon D90 and a Nikon D80). Strangely enough, it DID fit into the hot shoe backwards which was a big problem. Facing the opposite direction, and working properly, the screen to make adjustments to flash output was facing forward – i.e. the subject I was shooting. If I wanted to change the output of one of the speed lights, I had to turn the camera around, make a change and then continue shooting. So, using Amazon’s awesome return policy, I sent it back for a refund and ordered another one; hoping this was just a fluke. The second one arrived and fits perfectly, with the adjustment screen facing the back of the camera, as it’s supposed to, making speed light output adjustments a breeze! This works VERY well when combined with the Yongnuo YN560-III speed lights. A very effective and cost conscious solution.
