At first, this flash can be a bit awkward and clumsy, especially if you have never used a flash like this before. It does take some practice to use correctly but once you figure it out it can give some spectacular results! It does make the camera very top heavy so make sure you are maintaining a good grip on your camera while using! As a manual flash, this performs really well but switching to the automatic settings gives amazing results and its so easy! The price is right if youre on a budget and this is a great flash to learn on. The battery life seems pretty decent compared to other similar flashes I have owned in the past. I am overall extremely happy with this flash! You can definitely see a dramatic result in the quality of your photos when using this. This flash is especially great indoors when youre fairly close to the subject. Being able to rotate the flash is great to get the perfect bounce off a ceiling or wall. The material is of great quality for the price, it doesnt feel flimsy or like it will break easily. The only minor complaint I have is that the built in diffuser is a bit difficult to open and close. Nothing that changes my opinion overall but just something to be aware of.

I have used several different brands before. However, this flash is one of my favorite by far for many reasons: 1- The features this flash offers for this price makes it worth every penny. 2- I love the fact that I can use this on both Nikon and Canon. Also, I have used it on Sony camera (keep in mind when used in Sony, it is fully manual only- meaning that TTL/HSS will not work and there is no communication between the camera and the flash unit) Still, for me it was usable on the Sony. 3- Many speedlite at this price has a minimum power of 1/64. However this speedlite offers a minimum power of 1/128. This allows me to get more natural looking light on my subject when I dont need high power. 4- I was amazed by the fact that this speedlite has incredible recycling. It almost felt instantaneous!!! 5- I love the fact that Raleno included a diffuser with the package. Many other brands will not do that and you will have to buy it separately. I included example images taken with this flash. I used a $20 soft box with it. The first three images shot during sunset and all three were not edited. First image I used high power, while the other two I used low power. The last three images were shot late afternoon between trees and all three were edited in lightroom only and I used slightly high power. While the TTL mode is incredibly useful, I did not use it in any of these images because I prefer to take full control over the situation.

The cost-benefit on this flash is incredible. Few times Ive rented the Canon Speedlite, and now have Ive found that this Raleno is very comparable and almost as capable (at least for my needs). The instructions are limited, so you may have to figure some things out, but Manual and iTTL work great. Overall its pretty easy to set up, and easy to understand. Tilts and rotates 180 degrees for bounce flash, which is a so useful indoor. My first extended use of it was a 2-hour shooting at an event. Photos turned out great and best of all, the 4xAA batteries lasted the entire event. They seem a little less sturdy than the Canon, but, the price of one of these new is about what youd expect to pay to repair a Canon If you want a flash which performs like brand names, but your budget is tight, I absolutely recommend this flash.

Likes: 1.Very versatile. Can switch between eTTL for Canon and iTTL for Nikon (very useful if you invested in both systems). 2. Serves both as a master or slave speedlite. 3.Has HSS mode. This was huge for me. 4. Decent price. 5.Has manual, multi,S1 and S2 modes. 6.Slightly heavy and balances well with weight well distributed with camera hand held, this made it feel rich to me and not one cheap plastic. 7.Has all other functions you expect from a high end speedlite, including a zoom button that zooms upto 180mm! I am not sure though if it has memory to retain your previous settings, i.e, FEL lock since I cannot read the tiny prints in the manual. 8.The case has a battery compartment. 9. Recycle time is very fast, faster than most speedlites. Feels instantaneous. 10. Zoom is very silent. No sound at all when you are zooming. 11.The case is made of very good material. 12. Came with a hard diffuser case. Dislikes: 1. Manual has very tiny print. I need a magnifier to read it.Was useless to me.I read the canon manual for the 580EXII to understand the basic buttons on a speedlite and what they are used for.The rest was trial and error. 2.The case is a little too tight to put the stand and speedlite together back in.

I own a Cannon Rebel T6 and got this speedlite because the T6 doesnt work properly in the low light conditions. So far this speedlite has been very helpful to shoot under low light. Im not a professional photographer but can say that the performance of the speedlite has been very satisfactory. Ive uploaded some of the photos using the speedlite for comparison. The first two photos are comparison between having and not having a speedlite. In the first photo I used the 1/64 power and I turned off the speedlite for the second photo. Clearly, this speedlite works very well in low light condition. Similarly, I used the full power 1/1 in the third picture inside the wardrobe where there was no light. In the fourth picture I tilted the speedlite at 45 degree angle with 1/32 power. None of the photo are edited and the image look sharp for a 16 MP T6 DSLR. Pros: 1) Works very well under low light. Good amount of exposure from the flash. The highest power range from 1/1 to the least 1/128. 2) Have specs similar to Cannon and Nikon speedlites but is much more affordable. The settings are also easy to explore. 3) Battery operated so be sure to get 4 AA batteries. Doesnt come with the packing. 4)Supports manual as well as automatic modes in Cannon DSLR. Cons: 1) Makes the camera little heavy. 2) Probably not best for continuous shootings. 3) Should change the camera setting to enable the speedlite. The speedlite came with manual inside it. The specs of this speedlite fits with several other speedlites in the market and there are lots of good videos to get started around the web. Little bit piece of advice be sure not to put the flash in full power mode while taking pictures of people faces. Just put the flash under lower power, full power flash can have effects to the eye. The packing consists of a bag which make it easy to carry around and also the build quality of the speedlite looks great. For me this budget speedlite has been a decent purchase and would definitely recommend.

I have used many flashes from a Nikon SB600 to other Off brands. But this Raleno Flash Speedlite has to be the best so far. The important thing to me is the HSS (High Speed Sync). For years, I have been using a Variable Density filter to compensate for the Too Much Sun. Now I dont need to. I can shoot up to 1/8000. I have not made it up to that shutter speed yet, but I trust that I will be able to do so. The price was great. Funny, the first day I used it, my model dropped the flash. It still works. I will be buying a second one just for backup and also a second Off Camera Flash. Works great with my YONGNUO YN622N-KIT Wireless i-TTL Flash Trigger Kit. I had to set the trigger for TTL. It took me a while but that was the best setting for the Yongnuo. My other flash would only shoot at a Shutter Speed of 1/250. I cant wait to shoot more with it. Thank you RALENO Direct.

Im new to flash photography and wanted to get into it for the least amount I could while maintaining quality. This flash does exactly that. I will probably start off using TTL and advance to manual flash photography as I become accustom to using it. This flash has features that the OEM flashes have but at a much less cost. At this price, I may purchase another one at some point to allow me to setup 2 off camera flashes using a wireless TTL Speedlite radio flash trigger.

The Raleno flash speedlite is very similar to another flash speedlite I have except that this one has a brighter light, comes with a great diffuser, and feels much lighter than the other. This flash does what it’s supposed to and has very easy to learn user settings. I loved that it came with the diffuser. For the photoshoot pictured I used the diffuser on the flash and also bounced the light off of my large silver reflector. This photo is mine that I took in a dark alleyway after sunset using a Canon 6D, 50mm, and this flash. I recommend this for any level photographer, as It is a great addition to my gear bag at a great price!

I had returned a slightly cheaper flash from another company because the sensor was not as sensitive. I bought two of these, they work great, they have a zoom, and so many functions usually found on more expensive flashes. Build quality is pretty good. Definitely more clunky than my Canon equivalent but for the price I have ZERO complaints. I like cheap flashes that I dont have to afraid to take out of the back because of how much I paid for them.

Ive done a few portrait with this flash and it works great. This flash is EXACTLY what you want if you are only an occasional flash user but I want something that produces better results than the pop of flash on your Nikon DSLR, I did some shots with this flash and the one with the built-in flash that the camera brings with it. The difference is huge: when I use the Nikon D7200 built in flash, the lighting in the face of the person is sufficient (although it does not look as a pro shot) but in the back it looks dark (compared with the lighting levels in the face of the person I took a test portrait). With the RALENO Flash Speedlight , the lighting everywhere is much better than in the previous case. It did a great job For Canon use E-TTL & for Nikon use i-TTL
