Ive had this flash for about 6 months doing nightlife and event photography when I need a TTL speedlite instead of a manual flash or studio strobes that I would normally use. I had canon Speelites years ago and sold them so when I needed a cheap TTL flash, I picked this up without hesitation and you should too. I use canon 5D mkiis and it works great without needing a complicated manual to figure things out. Press on, maybe hit 2nd curtain or high speed mode and your set. For the value, I would recommend it if you need something quick, cheap and works decent; specially in scenarios where you dont want to risk a $500 flash. $50 flash? I put this thing in more daring places to get the shot. I pair these with Eneloops and it works wonders. The down side is that the flash head spins way too easy, specially if you have a flash mod like a bounce fabric. Thats the only down side.

Ive been using it for practices for almost 9 months and Ive finally decided to upload a few test shots just so someone would find it helpful in terms of flash power and distance to subject. It is a pretty good budget flash, I now have two of them, I am thinking about to buy a 3rd (I also have 1 basic TT560). Ive found TT680 efficiently satisfy my needs in studio products photoshoot. I occasionally use it for outdoor or at indoor for small friends gathering party. Im sure higher price flash would be better for increased power and longer distance shots but for now this is good. I also bought yongnuo yn-622c to control flash remotely, it works beautifully on TT680. Ive tried continuous shooting indoor at home studio and pair it with PIXEL FSK 2.4GHz Wireless Shutter Remote, it does a decent job, much easier to catch a splash when you have to do it alone; well, I of course still need to get right on focus and the timing because flash power at a few occasions goes down on the subsequent shots in continuous mode and overall lighting is not preferable. For high speed sync, I might have a bad eyes or my test shots were not set right for the HSS purpose?? I dont see the bands as in another review, or maybe its not that obvious to my eyes, or perhaps I use 7D markII... Anyways, I attached the test pictures for you to look at.... I would definitely recommend beginners to buy TT680, 4 stars for its friendly price and functions. 1 star off because eventually I think I will need something very powerful like godox AD200,,, but that thats all about $$$.

I really needed a decent flash for my Canon EOS Rebel XS (yeah, old and clunky I know). This has done the trick quite well and I am quite pleased with it. I could recommend this to a friend. 2015.01.24 - Lowered my initial review by 1 star. I am having difficulty getting the NW680 to work with my Yongnuo YN622C flash controller. I do not know if this is a problem with the flash or the controller or user error. Personally I assume user error until otherwise known. I do know that Neewer DOES NOT have an online manual for this flash which makes it far more difficult for to figure out where the fault lies. Lost my original manual which came with the flash. I am out of luck I guess and I am quite disappointed Neewer doesnt have an online manual given the vast majority of their sales are online.
