i recently purchased the Godox V860II-s, along with the Godox X1Ts to go with my Sony a6000... it was a bit of a learning curve.. the flash has many different settings from optical slave, to full on master controller! The instruction booklet is not much help beyond telling you what the buttons do.. several YouTube videos later, & this thing is dialed in! Full TTL metering, high speed sync... it works perfectly!! The battery holds a seemingly endless charge, even with high use.. recycle time is excellent! I plan on picking up a few more of these!! This KILLS the Nikon Speedlights that Im used to.. I love the built in receiver! Fewer parts to deal with, Coupled with the X1Ts trigger, this thing has great range! Far better than my previous setup... if you are a Sony shooter, this IS the way to go.

I have two of these and use them on a7R3, a6500, and even my RX10 Mark IV. Also recommend the AD200 to give you a little more portable power. I use the V860IIs on lightstands for accents and highlights and the AD200 is the main flash (when out of the studio). My a7R3 is the main camera and triggers all 3 flashes, but also my a6500 is my backup and can also trigger all 3. Very easy to setup, VERY fast cycle time between full strength flashes and I have yet to do a shoot that can exceed the LiON batteries in these. They fire reliably in many diff scenarios. TTL is accurate with most of my lenses. I typically dont exceed 1/250th, but did try the HSS at 1/8000th just to verify it works.

I bought this flash because I had small project where I needed high-speed flash. While the flash fires at high speeds it produces very small pulsating shadow lines across the ENTIRE image. It seemed to produce these lines at all high speed settings. It might be that the flash duration on the high speed setting was a little off or not producing enough power during the high-speed pulse. In any case, I tried it at full, half, and a quarter power. Lines where visible across all setting. It fires great at 250th and below and the trigger worked flawlessly but had to return because of shadow line issue. Will take a look at the AD200.

So far its exactly as expected. This bundle is a pretty good deal for what you get and from my preliminary (early) tests of this flash unit and wireless functionality I am happy with this purchase. TTL, Highspeed shutter, wireless. All gold. *Side note. The gels and the, *cough* gel holder, are kind of a wash. You have to cut the gels to fit into the holder, 1, and 2, stick a 1inch thick band of velcro around the head of the flash to *then attach the gel holder. Kiiinda janky. Who wants to have the 1 inch band of Velcro stuck to their flash forever? I dont. Nevertheless, its in the bundle but it adds zero value prop.

It flashes, it has a radio, though FM reception stinks, cant get the local NPR stations. The flash is amazing, it recycles at full power in about a sec. It seems to utilize all the in camera functions of my A6300. The radio remote has taken me a bit of fiddling to figure out, but it does work fine. The Li battery is bit heavy, though this unit is mainly used off camera, so the mass of the light on a relatively small body is not a problem. The extras included with the flash are silly. The gels may come in handy, the "soft box" is a joke, the gloves are weird. Used to use them all the time in a wet photo lab but have found the need for them greatly diminished with digital imaging.

I didnt really get to use this much as the hotshoe contacts somehow stopped working altogether. This item was never dropped or abused, yet after a couple of days of test shoots, the flash simply stopped communicating with my Sony A7iii. I could not fire the flash TTL nor manually. Everything turned on, batteries were charged - it just would not fire. If I nudge the flash into the hotshoe a bit, it will fire, but I should not have to jerry-rig something at this price range to work with my camera. Very disappointed. If youre going to buy, you may have better luck - just make sure you buy the warranty.

Excellent product. Using it all the time. Definitely recommend it. The battery has never drained out on me. It just keeps going on and on and on!! Flash power sometimes is not consistent. Over exposes or underexposes sometimes for no obvious reasons. A bit heavy flash with a plastic mount. Need to be very cautious while mounting and unmounting the flash form the Sony bodies. The plastic mount is easily breakable.

Received shipment in good condition, well packed. The product seemed solid, however, after spending four hours reading the manual and going to You Tube tutorials I could not sync the transmitter with the speed light. Returned to Amazon.

I picked up this flash for my a7rii. For the most part the flash and trigger are very simple to use. The battery for the flash is amazing. Its been over two months since Ive had to charge it. The flash has plenty of power for the type of shooting Ive been doing. The only issues I had is I broke the hotshoe foot. The retailer, Pergear, was awesome and send me a new one right away. Thanks so much!
