I am in love with the Godox line up. I have done several unboxings and comparisons on my youtube channel Legacy Studio Reviews. The only con I can see so far is on the hot shoe, specifically because of the "teeth" on the shoe. Check out the videos to see what I mean. But the build quality is excellent, and the flashes work like a dream. I own both the TT685S and the V860IIS and on both accounts they all have quite a few more pros than cons. If I was to rate the TT685 vs the V860, in a few short words would be... Con: hot shoes. Con: TT685S can only get about 250 shots at full power... Pro: V850 can get closer to 900 at full power Con: V850 doesnt have the ability to use a power pack Pro: TT685S can use a power pack Con: V850 replacement batteries are $40 each Pro: both flashes seem to weigh about the same.

Really love these flashes - I originally bought the package with the X1T trigger, then upgrades to the Xpro. The flashes are working flawlessly on-camera and off, using the trigger. The included soft-box came in handy when doing the spontaneous shoot with my buddies son. This shot was done using two of the V860II-S flashes and the Xpro-S trigger. You could definitely do the same using the X1T - the Xpro is just much easier to use (IMO).

Whats not to love? HSS, Recycle time is ridiculously quick, battery lasted forever at the last event I shot that was 5 hours and I still had a full bar at the end of the night.

I own the smaller version of this style flash that godox makes. In real world use Id estimate the smaller one to be possibly an eighth or even a tenth the power of this flash. Add the lithium battery which can last more than a day depending on its use and you have a high-powered portable flash with built-in Wireless that can act as either a transmitter or receiver. High speed sync, TTL, the features go on and on. There are of course more Powerball and more expensive portable flashes or strobes as they call them. You need to decide whats suitable for your use. I find I use these more often than any of them and thats for indoor and outdoor use. I often use only one or two of these. Sometimes three. They can take a while to recharge and its not a bad idea to have an extra battery but I use them for a long time without any problems and didnt have an extra battery. I find most of the items in the kit useful as well. Not bad for freebies!

The V860II-S flashes and the Xpro-S trigger combine to make a fantastic combination. I bought five of these flashes and the Xpro-S to use for taking pictures of hummingbirds. They work great and recharge very fast. I can take about 5 pictures per second with the fully charged large batteries. With this combination, I can get lots of photos of the hummingbirds in flight and with the wings STOPPED!

Talk about one mean flash. You wont believe how fast the recovery time is. The light box cover is pretty lame though.

I am extremely happy with this speedlight unit. Bought to replace a Sony 60M flash head that had a broken foot (since replaced). Been very versatile and Ive since expanded the wireless capabilities of the unit. The only downside of this flash is when using HSS and a high ISO and high shutter speed, there will be banding in the image. But after figuring out the limitations its easy to control. I plan on getting another unit soon for a backup.

I hate to gush, but this flash is amazing! I used to use a Canon Speedlite and I had no idea there was a flash out there that was so powerful that I wouldnt have to worry about the refresh rate. I dont want to knock the Speedlite, it was a great flash, but I probably could only get 2 or 3 flashes on continuous shutter before it had to refresh. Moments were lost all the time. The Godox in comparison is a lithium battery pack. I shot a red carpet event, using the flash for 2 solid hours, and A) The flash never had to refresh with continual 4-shot bursts, and B) at the end of the night, I still had full bars on the battery meter. Unbelievable, and the price is amazing. Twice the flash for the same price of my Canon Speedlite.

Love this thing. The recycle time and battery life are both excellent-- didnt have to change the battery once or worry about it overheating during my last wedding shoot. The UI is relatively simple so its easy to use. Only complain is that the hotshot mount feels a little cheap but as I understand it, if it breaks a replacement isnt hard to come by.

Works great with the Sony A7RIII, great images with no real fiddling with it. Im pretty old school with photography, and I just cant believe some of the advances in todays digital world. I dont think I could have bought a flash like this when I started for any amount of money.
