i would advise this for anyone on a budget wanting to step up from P&S or phone. i owned the Olympus PM-2 and loved the simplicity and image quality. this is basically the samr camera with a few more bells and whistles. image quality is outstanding. the weakness is the learning curve of the user interface but once mastered it becomes old hat. this camera is a steal for $300. there are lots of reasonable m4/3 lenses available also. for $300 its hard to beat. UPDATE...had to return camera for service. Exposure comp. couldnt decide correct exposure. Camera was back and fixed in 9 days. Still love this camera in spite of the malfunction. Olympus customer service is excellent.

Pretty nice camera, Very compact. Stock lens is good for general travel photography. Came with a tiny flash, which i havent needed to use yet since low light performance is pretty good, but that would be nice for parties and portraits. Good value for the money compared to other choices, I would recommend finding a thin case for it or a screen protector. I was carrying it loose on my pocket on a 10 day trip and got some scratches on the screen that dont affect it, but want to prevent more

I have many micro 43s cameras including two EM1s, and this is the one that goes with me everywhere! Its compact size, great image stabilization, quite operation and good video make the E-PL6 a no brained for anytime photography is not my primary purpose. I add a few fast primes and there is not much I cant get superb images of!

These has worked very well for taking indoor pictures, in relatively low light, with good results. We have two and have taken over 20K photos over the span of two years. Mostly, we appreciate the good resolution and reasonable image quality, plus consistent results with 2500 ISO. The cameras are light weight. I do wish the grip was a little more secure. My thumb keeps sliding off of the little pad and changing something.

I am so glad waiting for a Epl5 deal did not work for me and I found out this one. My Epm2 is going to be replaced with this one. I love the finish on this one. Very well made with a solid feel. Yet light enough to not tire you down. You can find out what to expect by looking at any e-pl5 reviews. Unexpected bonus feature... Vf-4s sensor works with this and so you dont need to press the button to switch the views. Edit. You cant play back on the vf4 on EPL6 while you can on EP5. It is easier to operate the rear wheel and the nearby controls on the epm2. The screen protrudes out (compared to EPM2) and you would hit your finger operating the controls. The movie button is easier to operate(even accidentally). Unlike EP5, the preview does not stabilize when you half press if you use the in body stabilization, but if I enable the lens stabilization on the 14-140mm, it does stabilize the preview. I will update with my preferred settings when I get some time.

Incredible almost DSLR quality in a compact package. You will be surprised by the images this little guy takes. I am a professional photographer and actually did a couple of shoots with this camera and the regular kit 14-24 lens. The touch screen is great and the "touch to focus and shoot" feature is GREAT. The quality still baffles me to this day. A wonderful gift for someone starting out and incredibly easy to use. It also feels like a high quality piece of equipment. Highly recommended.

Nice camera, but the menu confused me, not to mention the information screen, and other screens. Not the cameras fault, just difficult to understand at first. The more I use it, the easier it is to navigate and use the screen. I still have a lot to learn before I will feel I am getting the results this camera is capable of achieving. If you are a beginner with Olympus PEN cameras as I am, I wouldnt be in a hurry to change the settings, at least until youve worked through quite a bit of the manual. Love the results Im getting with my old Canon FDn lenses.

This is not the $1200 model, but it takes the same lenses and I wont cry as much if something happens to it. Have not figured out manual focus yet, but with adapters I am using old Olympus Zuiko lens that are great for manual focus. The articulating screen makes many images possible where even a view finder would have had a hard time. There is no wait time for an image to be saved. BIG plus over point and click cameras. Very Big. Yet with a simple lens it is nearly the same light weight. Easy to carry around all the time.

I just love this camera. It is a little small, but somehow, not having a view finder and working off the lcd in back makes that work out ok. I have no complaints. Wish I bought it sooner. Amazing for the price.

After a lot of research I decided to pull the trigger on this E-PL6. Im incredibly happy with my decision. The live view screen is a great asset and makes the camera very fun to shoot with. The kit lens is fine for general use. Id recommend purchasing extra batteries as they do die quickly, and would also suggest getting a wifi-enabled sd card so you can transfer pictures to your phone or computer quickly. Overall Im incredibly happy with this camera!
