This is my second Nikon D7000. In addition to D610, D5300, D90, D3200 and D40x, I use this one the most because it fits into my hand perfectly. Although I like full-frame too, its heavy to carry it around, especially when I travel. I also like the ergonomics and the design of the D7000. Its a joy to use it and nice to look at it. The body is partially metal and feels study. Unless I need to make a super large print which will require D610 to do it, D7000 serves most of what I do.

I am replacing a Sigma SD14 with this camera and so far, I am EXTREMELY happy! Ive3 had the Sigma for a few years; in fact, its the second one Ive had as the first one died while under warranty. I was never satisfied with the Sigma, never. I purchased a Sigma 18 - 50 f 2.8 lens (a very nice and fairly expensive lens) as my main lens. Also bought a Sigma speedlite. All in all, I had a fair amount of $ tied up in Sigma stuff. But I never felt my pix were what they should be; exposure was never right, not crisp, etc. So on the 19th of December the SD14 started acting up. I was not ready to buy a new camera but Christmas was coming and we have grandkids. So I did a bit of shopping on Amazon and decided to bite the bullet and buy a new camera. I settled on the Nikon D7000 kit which included a Nikkor 18-55 and Nikkor 55-300 F4.5- lens. I realize Ive only had this camera a few days but so far, I am very, very happy! While this camera does all sorts of stuff its easy I use (I did buy the Nikon D7000 for Dummies and the Nikon D7000 Field Guide). I do not think youll be unhappy with this camera!

I been taking photos for a long time and I find this camera to be well made, easy to use and the quality of the photos are great. Ive had this camera for a little over a month now and Im getting used to all the great settings it has. It chalked full of neat in camera editing tools.Its by far the best camera I have ever owned and Ive owned a lot of different brands. I use it for landscapes, portrait and action shots.

This is my first DSLR and I LOVE this camera!. I purchased this camera a personal Christmas gift to me, so I was very particular with what I was going to purchase. I looked into a a laundry list of cameras before my purchase, but I kept coming back to the specifications of the D7000 for comparison. The body feels good in my hands, the menu is not overpowering and confusing and the pictures look GREAT. I still have a ways to go to learn everything about the D7000, but Im looking forward to the lessons! I would definitely recommend the Nikon D7000!

I have had past experience with this camera by borrowing it from a family member to use for my business while my other camera was broken. So far It has lived up to all the expectations the battery life is super long the camera was in great shape when I got it and I love all the features. The lenses great its a little bit smaller than what Ive used in the past but it still works just great for portraits. I would definitely would recommend this camera and its a really good price from what I have talked with other people about how much they bought theres for, it also got delivered pretty quickly I thought it would take up to two weeks it only took about five days.

I am a professional photographer and I use the Nikon D7000. It is a great learning camera. I have used it so much now it is like an extension of my hand. I dont even have to think about operating it. I love it so much I sold my old back up camera to buy another D7000 body because I dont want to use anything else in an emergency. I am sure as my skill level progresses I will upgrade cameras again, but I will always think of my 7000 as a best friend

love to buy Tell photo lens? I though came w/ camera case and extra lens, but very happy w/ close up lens and can take pic far away, . I am prod it take excellent pic, love to buy under camera? love to find how to buy Tell photo lens, to take long distance pictures? Im not sure what happin the case extra leans for telephoto thought order for this trip coming up next month? I love the camera, but would have not bought it if extra leans did not come w/ it, has not come yet or camera case? from John Bradford

I couldnt decided to give it 4 or 5 stars, so I gave it five. I really like this camera so far (Ive only had it a little over a week). Im a Canon DSLR person with a Rebel, and 40D and a 60D, but Ive been wanting to check out the competition. When Amazon had this camera as part of a Holiday Bundle at only $750 with the kit lens and an additional 55-300 mm I decided to go for it. I like that its weather sealed, which my Canons are not. As far as image quality, I dont see much of a difference from the Canons (I conducted a comparison just today). I havent gone in depth with it, but I really like the feel of it.

I cant say much that hasnt been said in much more comprehensive reviews. I just wanted to add my voice in support of the praise this camera receives. Ive always been interested in photography and with this camera I have finally been able to capture the shots I wanted to capture. All around it is an excellent camera for professionals and layman alike. If you have to money to part with I highly recommend the camera.

I bought this camera for my wife on a recommendation from a professional photographer friend of ours. It is probably a little to much of a camera for a lot of people, but if your looking for professional quality pics this is a great camera. I would suggest a lens with more zoom, as we dont use the included one to often.
