I recently needed to replace my old D80. Id had it for the better part of a decade and after thousands of pictures, it was showing its age. The D3200 is slightly smaller and has more than twice the megapixels. The images are sharp and crisp outside. Inside, spend a little and buy a speed light to ensure crisp, sharp photos. Theres even a guide setting on the camera that allows the user to use presets for different conditions. This is a great entry level camera for someone getting started and for someone like me, who uses it constantly (and plays with all the bells, whistles, and filters) its still a fabulous buy. Its a fantastic camera.

I bought this camera so that I could use my ancient manual focus Nikon lenses (pre 1977 non-ai) which cannot safely be used on the more advanced Nikon D7x00 series and all Nikon full frame DSLs (except the DF). Shortly after getting the D3200 my wife and I went on a trip to the Hudson River valley. I took the D3200 and an 18-55 DX autofocus kit lens with me and took nearly 100 shots at Storm King. When I examined them on my 23" Monitor I was impressed. No, it isnt as good as my D600, but it comes very close and I really doubt that anyone could tell which camera I was using for a print smaller than 16 by 20.

Fantastic camera. After researching the 3300 and 3400 Nikons, side by side with this one, the additional cost of the "newer" models for the changes in features just wasnt worth it. This is an outstanding DSLR.

In general, this seems to be an amazing camera so far. My issues are that the battery and charger that came with it seem to be off brands, and I get about 10 pictures before it dies. Also the first night I got it I got the dreaded shutter error, and it just kept shutting down on me. After scouring the internet, I realized the mirror was stuck up. After I fixed that with a q-tip it has worked great ever since. I bought my own lens for this, so I cant comment on the kit lens. In all, this is a great camera so far. Excellent entry level dslr.

I bought this in December. I already had a Nikon D3200 and I liked it so bought this. l guess it is my fault because I didnt realize it was used! When I got it, I tried to use it and the wording in the camera was Japanese. I put it down and didnt mess with it. My old camera started acting up and so this week - six months after I bought it, I finally called Nikon and ask how to get the language changed. I used it one day and the second day it started leaving spots all over my digital pictures. I called Nikon and sent them the picture of what it was doing. I am still thinking it was new - only now did I realize it was a used camera so it is probably not covered by warranty - shame on me! But what a piece of junk and a waste of money!

upgraded to the 3200 from the D70. like the vid capability. although I have AF lens it appears that the 3200 only functions with one of my lens. dont know why that is; will continue to work with the cam to see if this can be corrected or maybe it is something Im not doing correctly. overall I like the cam.

D3200 is the best camera to start photography as a hobby. Lightweight, more power than a newbie needs and enough functions that the aspiring photog can grow into. Purchased for my younger brother this Christmas and hes taken to the craft and has no complaints at all.

This camera has produced some of the best pictures I have taken... coupled with the 28-300MM Nikon lens, this is my go to camera.... The way it handles it just feels right whether Im going to do a train shoot, model shoot, whatever, this is the one I want with me...

Incredible camera for novice to expert. Can be used as a point and shoot as you progress. Many affordable lenses. I like the 70-300 sigma, $140 whse deals for my all around favorite.and from Amazon warehouse deals I saved about $150.My wife and I have the same camera so we can share lenses. I ordered mine w 55-300 Nikor, alittle more expensive but the end result in pics is about identical
