This camera is everything I need as a non professional photographer. It has a built in flash, a variable lens, every shooting mode that its professional sibling, the 6D, has. The quality of the photographs is fantastic. I use it to shoot my kids everywhere we go. The price for this digital camera is fantastic considering its features and quality. If youre not a professional, and you were planning on getting some 500 dollar plus camera, consider this instead.

I actually ordered this from a third party and got the T6 but want to show as a "verified purchaser" and the cameras I believe are very similar. I love it and ordered a refurbished telephoto to go with it, super fun. I am a novice but this camera has inspired some great photos and I am delighted ith the purchase.

I love this thing! Its my first " real camera" and the quality is amazing. Showed up on time, everything intact, lense works beautifully. The only thing is its actually a t6 and not a t5? Ive checked like 5 times and this is the one I ordered, and I was sure it was the t5 but its a happy surprise because the t6 is fully wifi enabled and its amazing! Some of the pictures Ive taken so far are attached. Cant go wrong.

What can I say, I have already taken a few hundred pictures and most of them came out great. Those that didnt were my mistakes, not the cameras. I took a picture of the moon over the beach using the 18-50 zoom lens that came with it. The lens has a max aperture of f3.5 and in spite of that, the moon shot was great.

This camera works amazing! You dont need a super high-caliber camera if you need a good fair camera to do the trick. This camera can capture whatever you can get and what your wanting to afford, see for yourself for my shots. I have been mainly using it now for nature to test out the closeness of shallow depth of field. LOVE this camera, I assure you it wont be TOO much different then the T6 or T7. If you want super sharp images, the lenses is what does the magic more overall. Cheers!

I have always owned Canons, so I knew that I wanted another one when my other one went kaput. This is MUCH nicer than my 10D I had previously! I was a little nervous getting a refurbished camera, but so far, so good! I was impressed with how easy it was to use, even though it was different from my old one. It has quick tips that pop up on the screen to let you know what each function does, which was great as a refresher. I read through the manual quickly and did my first job with it after playing around with it for a day, and I didnt have any problems. Its great for an amateur photographer or professional. I love how lightweight that it is, because I have shoulder and neck problems and dont have to worry about it bothering me when I have a long day of shooting ahead of me.

Just bought this for our upcoming trip. I figured Id need an upgrade camera from my iPhone 5c. I was most concerned with this cameras performance in low light situations and it did very well. All photos attached we taken in VERY low light, two with flash and two without flash to give you a sense of how it performs (obviously better with flash). I still need to figure out how to optimize focus and zoom on this camera, so the lack of sharpness in the photos is most likely due to this. I definitely recommend this to someone whos looking for an upgrade but doesnt have $2k to shell out!

I bought this for my wife for Mothers Day, but I also use it occasionally for work; taking pictures of landscapes and such. To be completely transparent, I prefer Sony cameras simply because they have a lot of "on-the-fly" adjustments that I havent found on any other camera, having looked at both Canon and Nikon cameras in the $800-$2000 range. With that being said, for being such an affordable camera, the T5 does everything I need it to do. The only thing I MIGHT suggest is investing in a 300mm lens, depending on what youre photographing. Canon makes a great camera and I truly believe that anyone that is getting into photography or wants more than a simple digital camera will be more than satisfied with the T5. The T5i has a few extra bells an whistles, but Im not completely convinced that those are worth the extra money. Like I said earlier, this camera is great and anyone could easily get a ton of use with it by having a decent range of lenses.

This is an awesome entry-level DSLR. It works really well. If you already have this camera, theres a lens that is less expensive than the one Canon makes and is a really cool lens. Its a 1.8 aperature lens. Its fixed at 50mm. YONGNUO YN50mm F1.8 Standard Prime Lens Large Aperture Auto Focus Lens For Canon EF Mount Rebel DSLR Camera , with lens Pouch , UV filter , cleaning cloth I have that lens and it works perfectly. I strongly suggest that you check it out.
