I like the camera, I really should take a photography class to use it properly, but even as a beginner I can figure out enough to take great pictures. I have a strange comment on the durability I suppose, you see, I was on a dock on a river feeding some ducks and taking their pictures a year or two ago. Used the 300mm lens to keep the now empty bread bag I had from blowing away. Heard an odd thudding noise and then a splash and all of the ducks but one (the one who saw what happened I later realized) darted away from me. I was confused but slowly turned back to the ducks for a moment or two before I whipped around and saw the lens was gone. Cue the mad dash up the hill to retrieve my scuba mask and snorkel from the cabin I was staying in, followed by wading, fully clothed, into what turned out to be roughly 4-5 feet of water at the end of the dock. There it was, my 300mm lens sitting on a rock on the bottom. I brought it up, rinsed it, took the caps off, found some rice and over the course of a week or two dried it out, leaving it in the bag of rice in the sun for short spans of time to gently heat up. Plus later I took off the front lens component (which is apparently two pieces of glass sandwiched) and tried to dry it out without spots using rubbing alcohol (didnt work, wouldnt penetrate between the two pieces of glass like water did) and later used more water (decided to move it frequently while drying it out to avoid heavy spots). Ill add that I thought the lens might be a goner so really wasnt worried about doing anything worse to it. Long story short, I use this thing to this day. Theres a faint water-spot when looking at the front of the lens but it doesnt show up on the pictures at all. It was a little glitchy with connecting with the housing at times early on after the incident and recovery, but recently Ive been using it a lot again and it hasnt happened once. The autofocus works perfectly still as does the manual. So I gotta say the lens has to be good if it put up with a dunking and then disassembly and reassembly by an amateur. Im looking into getting more lenses to try new things with because of how these lenses and the housing performed.

One Year Later and I am still enjoying and learning this camera. This Camera, for the price, is good for beginners, and new hobbyist. Sample of some of my best shots, with some editing through windows photo editor. I am now in the process of saving up to get the Canon EOS Rebel SL2 Digital SLR (more Megapixels). Over all very satisfied for what i paid!!!

Havent played with all the features yet, but photo wise this camera is great. Have used the zoom lens mostly including for the moon shot during the Hunter moon.

It does not capture action as well as I had hoped but nice still portraits and landscapes. The action is a bit blurred with legs and arms for people and legs with animals. It does not shoot well in low light so have to use the flash most times if not bright sunlight. I shoot a lot of action shots and will still be shooting with this camera as it is better by a minutes degree than my T3.

Amazing pictures. We went on vacation to Puerto Rico and my wife (zero experience with a real camera) was taking pictures of pelicans diving into the water for fish. On some of the pictures you can clearly see little water droplets coming off of the feathers as the birds flew by... about 150 feet away. She was using the Action/Sports setting and the big lens. The flying birds were captured completely still - no blurring at all... with perfectly clear droplets of water... beautiful from so far away. I was taking close-up pics of some flowers in the rain forest and they were amazing. Only issue I had was with the auto focus not working when taking video of a swimming iguana... so I had to manually focus... not a big deal once you know what to do.

Was a gift for my granddaughter and she took it with her during her vacation to FL. She took close ups, distant shots, people, objects, both day and night. This camera seems to do it all, and in her hands it produced some beautiful and artistic photos. The flower close-ups looked quite professional, in the good sense of the word, enhancing the beauty of the blooms, and looked so real that you might just reach out and touch them.

So far so good! I just got it a few hours ago (delivered on time). It is quite noisy, so no sneak up photos. It takes some time to auto focus so getting those perfect moments is going to take some getting use to, but it will not be impossible. The photos have been coming out crystal clear in bright and dim lighting. For a family member who just wants to take photos of their family and some scenic vacation photos I think this camera will be just right. If your a pro or wanna be pro you may want to pass and think about upgrading.

awesome camera! very much appreciated that this package came with lenses, case, charger, instructions, and usb cable; i have not had to buy any additional supplies. i travel with this camera and its certainly not fragile - i wouldnt recommend dropping it, but it can survive being bounced/bustled around within reason. absolutely love this camera, and this is a great package.

I purchased for our family trip to Barbados. It was my first purchase of a DSLR and I absolutely love it! I understand its an entry level camera but it was what the doctor ordered to get my feet wet in photography. Ive used it for my sons football games, my 3 year olds Christmas play, and countless family photos. It takes great pictures. After 6 months, I cant bring myself to shoot in the Auto mode. Ive even disabled the Auto-Focus on the lenses! Im now eyeballing my next Canon. If youre looking for a great camera to get started into photography this is it!

Took me a while to decide on a camera. I was looking for one mostly for kids activities, sports shots, etc. This is a really good camera for me. I dont do high end things, but wanted good quality pictures. It is working really well and takes great pictures. I like this package because it came with the zoom lens. I interchange the lenses a lot for different activities. It will take video too which is nice.
