Lets talk about the accessories first. You get a nice 64GB SanDisk SDXC UHS-I Ultra (80MB/s) card suitable for 1080 60p recording on this DSLR. The SD card reader was also quite fast in transferring RAW and JPEGs. The 12" tripod is below average, but could still be useful. The microfiber cloth is not that great, but still better than a normal cloth. I bought the DSLR from Amazon on July 21, and it arrived on July 25. After leaving photography for a while and switching from my personal Nikon D3000 to this, I personally think its a good upgrade. Im sure every one here is aware of the specs, but I just want to say that the Dual Pixel AF System is really great and makes up for the lack of focus points (and cross-type focus points). My view of this DSLR is that its a vloggers/social media camera. With more than double the battery life of the SL1, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC; this is perfect. I managed to upload my RAW image to Instagram in less than 20 seconds through the official Android app. However, I am not sure if the RAW file is compressed/converted when uploading to a smartphone, because it took me more than 2 minutes to upload a single RAW file to my PC (EOS Utility 3). As a vlogging DSLR, I recommend these lenses: - EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5 - 5.6 IS STM (Wide-angle for video) - EF-S 18-55mm f/4 - 5.6 IS STM (Kit lens, general use) - EF 50mm f/1.8 STM (Bokeh!) - EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III (cheap tele) or EF-S 55-250mm IS STM (better quality) While using the DSLR, I do have a few problems which can be fixed through the custom configuration menu. I pressed the DISP button to turn off the display which seemed to turn off accidental touchscreen taps when using the OVF. Rating out of 10: Kids / pets 8 Action / sports 7 Landscapes / scenery 8.5 Portraits 7.5 Low light (without flash) 7.5 Flash photography (social) 8 Studio / still life 8 Conclusion, I love this camera. The design, size, and weight is great despite being heavier than the SL1. However, the grip might be a little bit small for some people (I have small fingers).

This is a great camera for beginners to average users. Nice pics and menus. Unfortunately, more than half of the items in the bundle did not arrive, nor would the vendor or Amazon send the missing items. The vendor was completely unresponsive to me. The reason Amazon support gave for not being able to provide the parts was "this item is fulfilled by Amazon". Great, I thought..... so fulfill it. The only choice they gave me was to return everything and re-order. I was about to leave on a 4 week trip, so I wanted the camera. They did offer to extend the return window by a month, so I could return it after the trip, so, that was good. Still I dont think it was an acceptable resolution. The missing parts from the bundle were: 2x32GB SD Memory Card, UV Filter, 3 pc Cleaning Kit, 2 Universal Screen Protectors, 6 PC Memory Card Case, 5" Flex Tabletop Tripod, Lens Cap Keeper, and the K&M MicroFiber Cloth. Thats a lot of stuff. It should have been an easy matter to rectify. I can tell you that "fulfilled by Amazon" will not be a selling point for me in the future.

I was on a trip, my grandmother picked up the boxes from the door, when I arrived, I opened the boxes and I was surprised that they were not there: Total two 32GB SD Memory, UV Filter, 3 pc Cleaning Kit, 2 Universal Screen Protectors, 6 Pc Memory Card Case, 5" Flex Tabletop Tripod, SD Card Reader/Writer, Lens Cap Keeper, K&M MicroFiber Cloth .So no memories, nothing just the Camara, 18- 55 lens , bag , 12 tripode, battery and Charger . So far I have been using this for video tutorials and I’m happier with it compared to my Sony A5100 which I REALLY wanted to love. This had mic option and the screen flips toward me while shooting top down which the Sony lacked. The Sony overheats. And audio is bad since I can’t use a mic. I don’t have time for voice over. The auto focus is great! And quiet. The kit lens isn’t bad for my videos. The camera itself is light The screen flips and I can see what I’m doing shooting top down My BIGGEST issue is that the mic is inserted NEXT to the screen which prevents me from turning the screen completely towards me but enough so I can still see. That’s why it gets 4 & not 5 Stars.

Im very pleased with this camera and this bundle. The bundle choices are very good and Ive already used pretty much all of them. I wasnt sure I would use the bendy tripod - but Ive already used it twice! One thing to note - Canon no longer packages a cable with this camera, I had one from my old Canon, but if you want to connect directly to your computer youll need to purchase a cable to do so. That being said, there is a card-reader in the bundle and the camera has wifi, so you are not without options. Im using the camera mainly to film my video podcast (now in HD!) and the quality is stellar.

Great deal for exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a light weight camera that had a selfie flip screen for vlogging along with good picture and good video capabilities. This camera fits the bill great. Most bundles are usually the cheapest things found thrown in a package deal. While this isnt top of the line stuff, the extras in this are decent, especially for a beginner photographer/videographer. I would look at picking up a good kit lens set (comes with CPL, ND, and other filters along with a lens hood), a decent full size tripod, and an extra battery. Other then that, this kit and camera can do just about anything a beginner, and even some advanced, photographer/videographer wants.

I just received my package which came very promptly. All items were included in the package. I will unpack everything and give an update review. so far so good ********UPDATE****** 4/26/2019 So the camera seems like a standard camera so I dont think you can go wrong with it but I must say with the 32G SD card provided I was taking pics and all of a sudden the pics were showing a "?" when viewing on the camera. when I placed the card into my computer it appears that the files are un viewable. needless to say I was taking important pics that now I can not go back in time and create. all the other accessories are sub par at best, the best one I can say that was decent was the SD card holder. tripods were not sturdy and the fitting on the camera was bad. the SD adapter was cool but I doubt I will use it, but it did work the one time I tried it. As a bundle I would say the rating isnt that good, but as a camera the pictures I took was decent. I also tried to reach out to the seller by email, they inserted a letter with the bundle saying if I give a 5 star rating they would send me a free 32G card. After months of leaving the 5 star rating no card came and no reply to the email in which I told them how I missed out on valuable family reunion pics due to the bad SD card. so after having the camera for a while my rating for the bundle would have to be a 3 at best due to subpar accessories. Canon also came out with the SL3 which can support 4K so this camera even though good you may want to look into the upgraded version

This ensemble was packed with a ton of goodies. Some of which I wont use( but glad to have nonetheless). I purchased this camera mainly for video shoots. I have yet to take still shots yet but from other reviews the still shots are amazing even with the pack in 18-55mm lens. I shot a video Sunday night over a friends house and video quality seemed a little noisey I had ample light(1daylight lamp stand) but I may need to play with the settings more. It doesnt seem to allow me to adjust the iso while shooting 1080p 60fps. That could have contributed to the grainyness. I will admit I am entry level in videography but I continue to use this camera and see how well it does over time.

I was wanting a camera that would be best of both of worlds. A good beginner dslr for video and photography and after about a year of researching I finally went with the Canon SL2. Im happy I did! For me its an excellent beginner dslr because it simplifies the use of different modes being manual,av, and others! Its a great vlogging camera as well!
