I was in need of a DSLR camera for my business, but my budget was kinda limited. After seeing tons of reviews for the Canon SL2, I decided to order this bundle. Specially, since I was looking for a multifunctional camera that enabled me to take decent pictures and great quality video at the same time. I got to say I was worried since this is an entry level camera, suited more for beginners. However once I received my order, all concerns went away. This camera is really good and the image is top notch. The video portion will blow your mind on how crisp and fluent is using the 60fps option. Of course this is not comparable with the full frame or more expensive ones, also depends on the lens you are using. But if you are in a situation like me, limited to a budget, this is a safe go. I just made a small job for a client and at the moment the people around me saw I took the SL2 out of my backpack, they started to ask if I was available for photoshoots. So, for regular customers who cannot tell the difference between a SL2 with a 80D to give an example, I think it was a great investment for my business, at least for a starter. It is important to mention that if you are considering in buying this camera, save a little of your budget to buy more decent lenses. I had to buy a 50mm lens and I used a combination between the 18-55mm with a 50mm for product shoots and at the moment all is good. The camera is easy to use and have different settings that helps to take great pictures without being an expert. The part that I liked more, is that the camera itself, gives an idea on how to work with the exposure, aperture and ISO, providing the confidence to jump to manual mode. Regarding the bundle that offers Focus, I saw other reviews from people mentioning that some items were not delivered, but in my case I received all the stuff, it was fast and well packaged too. So I really dont have complains. The only thing is for the price, you can expect some cheap materials in some of the items, like the Flash and the Wide and Macro lens extenders. Aside from this, the lens of 75-300mm came in well protected conditions with the original box, the Vivitar tripod despite is a bit flimsy and cheap, for me looks well made and if you are creative on how to use it, it will be very useful. The camera case is great and very sturdy, but I have use it since I decided to buy a backpack for more a more portable option. Overall, I think this was a good purchase, specially since the bundle provides the necessary to start on a budget.

So, this seems to be a very good camera and camera bundle, especially for an entry-level price. I am an amateur photographer who has used digital point-and-shoot cameras to their max potential and finally decided to go with a DSLR after my last P&S bit the dust. Im also not rich! This camera has very good reviews for image quality and features which I agree with after about a week of shooting pics. If one is mostly used to snapping pics with a smartphone, there will be a learning curve of course but it is not a steep one and to simply snap some good pics one just has to turn it on, aim, and shoot. It is the more creative shooting that requires a little learning, but there are great explanations of features as you open the menu on the good LCD screen. Some have found the 18-55 mm lens to be cheap and unsatisfactory but I think one has to be realistic about the price-point here. (Sorry, my computer died mid-review). I think this is a decent but not great lens. If we factor in the cost of the camera body alone and add in all the other pieces in this bundle, the lens is practically free. It is not, however, equal in quality to much higher priced professional-grade lenses. The zoom lens, 2x telephoto, and combo wide-angle and macro lenses have taken nice pics for me. The other items in the bundle were good quality, and there were actually two 32 gig memory cards in my box instead of just one. This is a far more versatile camera package than my old, good-quality point-and-shoot camera could provide, and at a decent price. I am quite satisfied with it so far.

Love the SL2 so far. I have been working with digital imaging and multimedia in my day job for decades, but wanted a "cheap" DLSR for personal use that could do +90% of what a pro setup could do. The SL2 fit the bill. The images are crisp, the AF is fast and accurate, and the included lenses are decent; the 18-55 being the most useful for a wide variety of shots. I had to get an f1.8 50mm for portraits and product shots as well. I wish the 75-300 had image stabilizer like the 18-55 does. It seems more critical for a tele lens to have that. Even at high ISO, the shots look quite clean. The body is tiny and super light. OEM batteries are a bit expensive, but last for a decent amount of time... especially if using the viewfinder with no flash and manual focus... it will go all day. I wish the charger had a USB input so you can charge it in the car or on a battery bank. You can also get an AC adapter for the battery compartment that allows you to plug it into a wall and use in a studio all day long. The video quality is very good for being "only" 1080p. I do wish they had crammed 4K into this, as even mid-grade smartphones do 4K nowadays. The external mic input is a critical feature for video, and it works great with my Sony electret mics [the internally-powered and the line-powered Sony mics work on this input]. The swivel screen makes for great video versatility. I did not find the 3rd-party kit accessories [especially the flash] to be of particularly high quality, but then again, they rarely are. Overall, the SL2 serves its purpose well and I would gladly recommend it as perhaps the best "budget" DSLR on the market.

The camera itself is great, and that’s what makes me hesitant about returning it, but all of the accessories included are garbage. The tripod can’t be tightened enough to support the weight of the camera with a lens attached, the backpack is sloppy in holding all your lenses, and all the filters are add-ones are the cheapest you can find and often result in a much lower quality photo... debating picking up a Sony a6000 instead, but I don’t know...

I purchased this bundle thinking it was a great deal. I received the package and noticed that the camera box had to seal on it. Once I removed the camera from the box I then noticed finger prints all over it including the LCD screen which also did not have a film on it. I believe this camera is a used camera that was being sold as new. Why disappointed and thinking about returning it and Just buying from a reputable store instead.

This is my first DSLR and Im very please with it. I decided to upgrade from a compact digital camera and take up photography as a hobby. I have used SLR film cameras many years ago and appreciate the technical advancements of this Canon camera. I look forward to using the SL2.

I am very happy with the quality of this camera and most of the things in the bundle. tripod is a little weird but i can easily get another one, so that is no big deal to me. I probably wont use the HD filters either.

So far so good! Everything that was listed as being included in the package was there. This was an excellent deal and arrived in 2 days! Have not had an opportunity to use every accessory included so I will update the review if anything changes.

Didn’t get the bag shipped with the camera but overall everything else is great. Solid camera for non-professional photographers.
