I researched this camera for months before buying it. It has a good weight and solid build, the auto-focus system is fast with a lot of focus points. For those used to Canon, they know the menu navigation is slick, easy, and perfect for events. Ive had this camera for well over a year without issue. It is not full frame but close with a small crop sensor. While the international model does not have a warranty, it is still cheaper than a used model with low shutter count in the US. Ultimately, the lack of warranty was a risk I was willing to take for the several hundred dollar savings. This camera is incredible and feels good in the hand and takes solid video (with the option for some pretty basic slow mo and time lapse). The ISO range is great, the shutter is fast, and the Auto focus system is the real selling point. For the price, Id say this is one of the top in the field. Obviously you can get into some of their full frame models, but its at a pretty high cost. Ive used this as a primary on weddings and this thing is a power house and tank. Its kept up for fast sports events, bouquet throws, and fast wild life. Other reviews get into the more technical terms, and you can certainly find that, but overall heres my top features: -Fast Auto-focus -A lot of Auto-focus points (I think the best selling feature esp for live event coverage -Good battery life -Small crop sensor -Large range of compatible lenses -Dual card slot (although I wish it was two SDs instead of 1x CF and 1x SD) -Heavy, solid build (can wear at the neck from a long wedding, invest in a good strap)

The only difference the international model from the USA model is the Canon warranty. I bought a third party warranty that covers, accidental damage, like dropping the camera, for less than the difference in initial price. Best wildlife and bird camera currently available. Crop sensor extends L lens by a factor of 1.6. This means a 400 mm L lens meant for full frame sensors will perform like a 640mm lens. Add a 1.4 tele extender, which this camera is able to auto focus, you’ll have the reach of nearly 900 mm. Much smaller and lighter than other setups for that much reach. Fast accurate focus at burst speeds of 10 frames per minute. Comparable ISO performance of the 5D mk III up to 32,000. Then the 5D has the advantage in less noise. But it’s half the 5D’s price, lighter, smaller and twice the burst speed. These oystercatchers were shot with the 7D mk II, using Canon 110-400mm mk II with the 1.4 tele converter. These birds were about 150 yds out, bright daylight.

Tread carefully if buying this. I received the camera and it was absolutely amazing! I absolutely loved taking it out. 26 days after I bought the camera, it decided it didnt want to turn on anymore. I ran through any and every recommendation possible and was left with sending the camera in to Canon. I since it is an international version, there is no warranty. This left me with a $476 repair bill on a one month one camera. While I know that it is an extremely rare incident, I can say that I will no longer be buying an international version. Like I said, I know this is a super rare incident, but it could happen to anyone.

This camera is the best one I have ever used. It does everything from portraits to wildlife and much more. I have been using it for about a month and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new camera this is the one for you the only negative is that the flash button is in a very weird place on the camera. If you are a wildlife photographer like me then you are the person for this it can shoot at 10fps and dosent lose focus ever I have taken 45 pictures in a row all of them were perfectly focused All together this is the best product for wildlife photography but will do anything you need it for and it’s iso will go up to 1600 without any noticeable grain in the photo

Really nice camera. Works perfectly, very solidly built, very professional, many great features. I love the front focus AF button and its ability to track fast moving subjects. Awesome for birding. Great price, no regrets buying whatsoever.

I was a little skeptical at buying a "Non-US" (or what some people term a grey market) Canon camera. But after reading a lot of literature on the subject I decided it was worth the risk given the money savings. My camera came exactly as advertised and included all manuals, cables, battery, charger, carry strap, etc. that I expected. I was also a little concerned perhaps the menus on the camera would be different or something but I can assure you that is not the case either, nothing here to indicate this is a non-US camera. This camera works perfectly and is exactly as the much more expensive "US" version. I purchased a Wi-Fi card for it, installed the card and was remotely controlling the camera from my Android phone in less than 15 minutes. The main "hazard" to these purchases is that you do not get the Canon U.S. warranty of 1 year so if you are willing to take that risk I would recommend. However, I would be careful as to whom I would buy these deals from, I spent considerable time finding a vendor that had a good reputation. The vendor Electronics Basket did not disappoint and I would recommend buying from this seller. Some of these vendors have a reputation for advertising one price and then trying to do a "bait and switch" on you. This was NOT the case with Electronics Basket and I could not be happier. As far as the camera itself, it is everything I thought it would be and more based on the specifications. I did a lot of research to make the decision to buy this model over a newer Canon EOS model like the 77D or 80D and feel I made the right choice. Newer model does not necessarily mean better model. Looks at the specifications and compare them. Having owned a Canon EOS 40D for over 10 years I am a believer in Canon products and have found them to work great and be extremely reliable.

Very satisfied with this camera. Fast focus, sharp image, and durability. I like these features best. I shoot school events and field trips all year round and it has never failed me in any situation including the coldest days in NYC. I highly recommend it. It is actually cheaper than some cameras with fewer functions. It is really a good deal!

This camera body is good for wildlife and sports. 10fps is awesome. However it boots up pretty slow every time you turn on or remove your memory card. Shipping was slow. Item box had little damage, got no respense from the seller.
