The full-time continuous autofocus on this camera (in video mode) is absolutely brilliant. Compared to other cameras like the Nikon D7100 its not even a fair comparison. Its more fair to compare the 70D with higher-end pro HD camcorders, because the face/object tracking is so good it blows all the other DSLRs out of the water... even other Canons. Ive only had this camera for a few weeks, but I have found myself shooting much more video than taking still photos. With my previous camera (a Nikon D7000) I rarely ever shot video, because it didnt autofocus. Even the newer Nikons autofocus, but you can see them hunt back and forth for focus point during shots. The Canon 70D is smooth and stays on subject 98% of the time. The STM lenses arent perfect, I have the 18-135 that came with the camera and the 10-18 STM lens as well. They dont have very wide maximum apertures, so they arent great in low light. But the 70D isnt bad at high ISOs so even shooting at night, theres not that much noise... not enough to make the footage unusable anyway. And theyre almost completely silent, unlike my Sigma 17-50 2.8 OS, which you can hear clearly even with a hotshoe-mounted microphone instead of the on-camera audio. The focus is fast and dead on. I also love the flip-out LCD viewfinder. Its great for vlogging, which is why I bought the camera. This is really *THE* DSLR if you want to shoot video on a non-professional budget.

The camera arrived quickly and the packaging was great. Everything arrived in good working order and not boxes with foots through them. The camera itself is heavy and has a great solid feel to it. I am in no way a camera expert and purchased this camera for the family photo. After spending an afternoon learning the camera it is so much more than I imagine I could ever need. I am sure someone that’s a camera expert can speak towards the pros/ cons with more efficiency than I am able to, but that said this is the best camera that I have ever touched. I am completely amazed by the cameras ability and certainly understand the attraction that many have to the 70d. This is a fantastic product, and I would without hesitation recommend this product for the user that just wants great photos to the professional.

Just upgraded my 8 year old EOS Rebel with the 70D and the results are amazing. Granted, technology has greatly improved, but once you learn how to use the features, Ive gotten some great results. The most commonly changed functions are easily accessible from the touch screen.

The Canon 70D was bought used, but “Like new “ condition. I got a new camera basically, you can not tell it has been used. It only had 208 pictures taken (shutter count), according to a software bought on Apple Store. I have been using a Canon Rebel, , so I am going to spend some time reading different books and watch some YouTube to really understand this new camera. The seller had the shutter count at 801, still this is an outstanding camera purchase for the price I got it!! Happy customer!!! Want to share these attached photos to this posting. Taken these photos with the Canon 70D and a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Standard Lens and other Canon Lenses, which I just purchased to experiment. Awesome pictures! Please take into consideration that I am new in photography, something I have been wanting to do for a long time. Thank you D-UNIVERSE for selling me such a great camera at this price !!!

Absolutely LOVE this beauty! I use this one for making videos on my YouTube channel along with a wide angle lens and a Rode shotgun mic and the quality of my videos has instantly gotten better, courtesy its awesome auto focus feature. I had used a Panasonic HC-770 camcorder for about 3 years before taking the DLSR route and Im kicking myself for not having done it earlier. If you are a video content creator, then this is probably on the better values of money in terms of the ROI. There are a few other decent cameras from Sony, Nikon and Panasonic that are available for a cheaper price, but Id take the 70D over those any day.
