First off I am a professional photographer who has owned many cameras so I am intimately aware of how a brand new camera is packed and what happens on start up when you turn it on for the first time. It was extremely obvious when i got the box that the camera had already been opened. The manuals were not in the right place, the bubble wrap around the body had no tape holding it together, the fabric that the body is wrapped up in inside the bubble wrap was bunched up, and the battery plastic was open. All obvious signs of it being opened before. After putting in a fresh battery (I own other Canon bodies) and turned the camera on there was no prompt for setup. Every new camera when turned on the first time will make you go through setup (Language, time zone, date format) Again this didnt. So then the easiest way to check is the shutter count. Because Canon 5D mark iv doesnt have a direct menu for checking the shutter like the 1DX does I just set the image capture number to continuous vs restart at zero each time. Took one image and low and behold it was image 3490 on the shutter. This means this camera showed up to me "NEW" with 3489 shutter actuations. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER! DECEPTIVE PRACTICES!
