I BOUGHT THIS SONY 100-400mm LENS A FEW WEEKS AGO & AM I GLAD I DIDNT OPT. FOR A CHEAPER BRAND. IT HAS GOOD SHARPNESS, GREAT FEATURES WITH OSS MULTI FOCUS HOLD BUTTONS & GOOD BOKEH. THE ONLY DRAWBACK THAT I CAN SEE IS THE WEIGHT, BUT ITS A LOT OF GLASS

Top Telephoto
The 100-400GM is the lens I’ve used the most since I bought it a couple of years ago. It has been a perfect match for me. The Sharpness!
I brought the 100-400 G Master so I could get closer to animal subjects without spooking them, I didn’t realise this lens was gonna be so sharp though! I havnt taken it off my camera since I’ve got it in the mail ????

Favourite lens for wildlife
I hired this lens for two holidays before taking the plunge and buying one for myself. I've been thrilled with the sharp images I've obtained of wildlife. 400mm is enough to capture animals at some distance without being so heavy that I can't hold it steady. 100mm is short enough for the animals that come somewhat closer. It's an excellent lens which works well with my A7iii camera.
Sharp & quick
I purchased roughly a month ago for wildlife shots the one great thing I love is how versatile it is, being able to flick the stabilisation on for first light conditions, chasing nature having that stability is vital for the lowlight at that hour of the day, especially for birds. The only downside is there is no lock feature to stop the lens slowly creeping out when on the move, Especially chasing nature on the go!
My long wait is over
Ive been wanting this lens for a couple years but i kept not buying it because its so expensive. And being retired money is not easy to come by. Im 75 years old now so it was really a want instead of a need. So i just want to let others know that this lens is awesome and a definite keeper. Wish i could have bought it sooner. I have a Sony telephoto 70 to 200 f4. But found it just didn't have the reach i wanted a lot of the time. I read the reviews of others trying different brands and they didn't seem satisfied so thats why i got the Sony….its focus is amazing and I'm totally satisfied.
Sharp and Compact
This lens is brilliant, it is sharp, and it delivers accurate colour, I have used it for shooting Windsurfing and Birds, planning to take it to the race track soon, autofocus is lightning fast on a A74, I promise you won't be disappointed with its performance.
